J’ai adoré mon expérience dans ce salon de thé japonais d’exception. Le service est à la hauteur de la réputation de l’hospitalité japonaise : raffiné, attentionné, précis. On est accueilli avec une vraie élégance, on vous conseille avec délicatesse — bref, un service qui change radicalement des standards parisiens. Le lieu, très cosy, est étonnamment accueillant même pour ceux qui viennent y travailler. L’ambiance reste calme, feutrée, studieuse, ce qui n’enlève rien au charme du lieu, au contraire. Côté carte, c’est une véritable immersion dans la pâtisserie traditionnelle japonaise : mochis, wagashi, matcha d’une qualité rare… On est très loin du simple coffee shop à la mode : c’est un véritable salon de thé japonais de luxe, avec une offre aussi exigeante qu’authentique. Il existe aussi une formule déjeuner avec des plats japonais (currys, bentos…) qui sont délicieux. J’ai vraiment adoré cette adresse, que je recommande vivement pour une pause hors du temps.

Il s'agit d'un établissement d'excellence où vous goûterez des pâtisseries japonaises traditionnelles délicieuses, de somptueux thés.. Je n'ai pas encore goûté l'option salée mais cela ne saurait tarder. Un vrai coup de cœur.

Souvenirs de la Fête des Garçons.
La délicatesse sucré-salée du kashiwa mochi au miso blanc m'a littéralement comblé.
Il me faudra attendre un an pour goûter de nouveau à l'onctuosité et à la saveur fruitée et si subtile des chimaki.
Merci pour tant de plaisir !

Petit havre de paix au cœur de Paris. Le seul soucis, c'est qu'il faut réserver car l'adresse est très courue.
Depuis des années, service excellent et délicieuses pâtisseries, si jolies qu'on a peine à mordre dedans. La carte est ultra saisonnière (comme on s'y attend dans un établissement de bouche japonnais), jamais aucune déception. L'été, la glace pilée au sirop de sucre et azuki, ainsi que les zenzai sont incontournables.
Et je ne repars jamais sans quelques yokan à emporter.

One of the best tea houses in Paris. The relaxing bird sound asmr loop they got playing in the background deserves the 5 stars alone. Shoutout my gf for putting me on to this spot.

Very pathetic French receptionist at this place and mediocre food. Only one Japanese female staff at this place is working hard and attentive to customers’ needs. Highly recommend to go to other restaurants, NOT this one.

美味しい和菓子、サービス、清潔なお手洗いと、すべて、日本にいるかの様だった。パリに行く際は、また是非、再訪したい。チューリッヒでもオープンしてもらいたい！

練り切り、抹茶アイス、桜餅、全て美味しかった。

体調のよくない3歳児が桜餅を口にした途端、嘔吐。とても美味しかったが、チューリッヒで育っているので、慣れていない味だったのか。因みに、練り切りは、とても気に入っていた。

嘔吐した際、お店が神対応。とても有難い????

L'expérience avait pourtant mal démarré....
2 places réservées par tél pour 12h (on me dit que j'aurai donc le créneau de service 12h/13h15 et que nous serons assises côte à cote à la grande table).
A notre arrivée (avec, il est vrai, 15mn de retard) on nous informe qu'il faudra respecter, malgré notre retard, l'heure de départ ????.
Et que notre positionnement à changé, nous serons face à face à une petite table.
Ce n'est pas le fond qui est surprenant, c'est la forme. À l'accueil, un homme peu enclin à l'amabilité, manquant de rondeur dans ses formulations.
En totale opposition...
Le "déjeuner léger" comme proposé sur la carte : délicieux et raffiné.
Exactement comme ceux que l'on peut déguster au Japon. Jolie vaisselle et agencement harmonieux du plateau repas. Beau choix de dessert (selon les thèmes de saison). 2 personnes (homme/femme) au service, aimable et efficace. Dommage que l'établissement n'ai pas fait l'effort d'installer des toilettes Toto, comble du confort nippon.
Tous les commentaires négatifs sur le restaurant font état du mauvais accueil prodigué (j'imagine) par la même personne.
Surprenant qu'elle soit maintenue au même poste, une telle attitude n'aurait Pas été acceptable au Japon.

Una vera esperienza culinaria, un pranzo eccezionale, completo e curato in ogni dettaglio. E la qualità unica del design e del servizio nipponico. Unica pecca: le porzioni un po’ ridotte. Molto piacevol la di welts dei lunghi tavoli sui quali pranzare seduti accanto a persone nuove e sconosciute. Con 22€ a pranzo ho potuto degustare una ciotola di riso con sesamo, una ciotolina di miso soup, un ovetto chawanmushi, un bicchiere di té, un contorno di verdure cotte. Davvero da provare!

Beyond coffee and boulangeries there is great food experiences of different cultures. Like this modern Japanese tearoom serving traditional Japanese confectionery (wagashi), green teas and matcha of many varieties. I tried the classic matcha which was well made and completely infused into the water to give strong earthy tones. The tea with roasted rice was also beautifully made and the aroma was great. We also tried a little treat of their seasonal special - apple. Very unique and unlike anything I've tasted, the flavours were strong and natural and the texture was smooth along with the coldness. I loved this place from the service to the traditional tea room plates and cutlery. Come here if you ever want a unique tearoom experience!

Toraya is a lovely spot for a peaceful coffee catch-up with a touch of Japanese elegance. We enjoyed matcha teas alongside a selection of their delicate bean pastries and fresh mochi. The highlight for us was the monakas—we only wish we had tried them earlier so we could have ordered more!

When we arrived, the atmosphere was incredibly quiet, with individuals studying or reading alone, making the soft bird soundtrack almost the only sound in the room. It created a serene and calming ambiance, though later, as more people arrived, the space became livelier with conversation. The service was exceptionally polite and kind, and the minimalist Japanese decor added to the tranquil experience. A wonderful place for tea, sweets, and a moment of quiet in the city.

Accueil lamentable. Nous sommes deux, on attend sans réservation. On fait passer devant nous un personne seul et un groupe de trois en s’excusant auprès de nous. Il y avait 4 places les unes à côtés des autres sur la grande table. Il aurait été tout à fait possible et normal de respecter l'ordre d'arrivée. On nous met sur une banquette d’accueil dans le passage à coté de la cuisine avec des tabourets hauts où on ne peut installer aucune affaire. Cet espace était inusité car ce ne sont pas de vrais places. Nous sommes donc partis sans rien prendre après 20 minutes d'attente. Accueil discourtois et très peu adapté pour ce type de lieu. On ne reviendra pas et on déconseillera.

Even though it’s supposed to be a Franco-Japanese restaurant, it’s very much Japanese—but sadly, the service was shockingly racist. The French staff only spoke to my white friend (in English) and completely ignored me (I’m Asian), even when I tried to get their attention directly.

The food was just as bad as the service. The menu is tiny, with nothing but boring rice and vegetable dishes for €15–20 or desserts that are downright weird. I tried the mochi, and it was so overloaded with powder or whatever they put on top that I nearly choked while eating it.

The worst part was trying to get the bill. We were sitting right by the counter, and four different waiters straight-up ignored me when I asked for it. Even the one Asian waitress working there looked at me, then just walked off without saying anything. I had to sit there for another 10 minutes before someone finally brought it over.

Overall, the place felt incredibly unwelcoming and disrespectful. Between the mediocre food and the rude, racist service, I honestly wouldn’t recommend this spot to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere better.
