Depois de anos acompanhando pelo Instagram, finalmente tive a chance de provar os doces da Stohrer. Valem cada centavo! Pedimos um eclair de cafe e um doce chamado piemonte. Os dois estavam impecáveis!
Única coisa que faltou foi ter mesas ou ao menos um balcao para poder comer no local.

Baba Au Rhum was everything I had hoped it would be. Prices were very reasonable. Kind store owner noticed I had phone in my back pocket as I was exiting store, and reminded me about pickpockets!

Je m’y suis rendu ce jeudi 29 mai, par curiosité, Et j’ai pris un flan à la vanille et une tarte citron à la mascarpone. C’était délicieux. je n’ai jamais mangé des pâtisseries aussi bonne vraiment. Ce sont mes deux desserts favoris en plus. Vendeuses super gentil merci.

Stohrer is more than just a bakery, it’s a piece of Parisian history. Established in 1730, it holds the title of the oldest pâtisserie in Paris, and walking through its ornate interior feels like stepping into a culinary time capsule. During our bakery tour, we joined a modest line outside, which moved swiftly, a testament to its popularity and efficient service.

Their legendary baba au rhum, served in a jar, is a must-try, rich, boozy, and utterly decadent. It’s the kind of treat you’ll wish you had room to bring home by the dozen. While I sampled the croissant, which has a strong reputation, I found it good but not quite transcendent compared to other Parisian icons. That said, the overall selection, quality, and charm of Stohrer make it a standout.

This is a destination for serious pastry lovers. From the visual artistry of each creation to the depth of flavor in every bite, Stohrer more than earns its reputation. A five-star Paris experience.

In 1725, on the occasion of her marriage to Louis XV, Marie Leszczyńska came to Paris, bringing with her the pastry chef of her father, Monsieur Stohrer, among the court that accompanied her. Five years later, he settled on Rue Montorgueil and opened a pastry shop whose specialties would become the babas and puits d’amour. Around 1864, the shop was decorated by the painter Paul Baudry (1828–1886), who had just gained fame for the decorations he had done at the Hôtel Galliera and the Opera House’s Foyer.

The building, dating from the late 18th century, features a curious bas-relief above the entrance: a globe surrounded by symbols of the Arts and Letters.

Nice pastry shop in a lively street. Quick service. Tried st. honore and loved it. One of the best cakes I’ve had in Paris. baba rhum had strong rum flavor which I didn’t enjoy but ymmv. Tried financier as well which tasted a bit stale and underwhelming.

Les prix pour une telle réputation ne sont pas excessifs et les parts sont généreuses.
Bravo ,la qualité des produits choisis

Les vendeuses pas du tout souriante et la caissière au bout de sa vie qui ne répond pas au bonjour , perdue à compter nos gâteaux (4)elle était débordée .

Ma pâtisserie favorite sur Paris. Je suis une grande fan de leur St Honoré individuel que j'achète à chaque fois que je suis dans la zone. Leurs gâteaux aussi sont excellents. Et la boutique très mignonne ????
