Belle rénovation et décoration de la chambre et des parties communes. |Accueil froid et distant de la propriétaire. Zéro information sur la région et sur la chambre car trop occupée par son commerce mitoyen à la maison d’hôtes. |Petit déjeuner ordinaire. Aucun produit fait maison, ni terroir, contrairement à l’annonce. (15€ le petit déjeuner)|À notre arrivée, quand nous avions demandé de prendre le petit déjeuner en terrasse, la propriétaire nous a répondu : « faites comme vous voulez « Et ce matin « allez vous installer sur la terrasse si vous voulez » alors que la table était déjà préparée à l’intérieur.

La maison et la chambres sont très belles et décorées avec goût. Par contre, l'hospitalité est bien loin de l'esprit d'une maison d'hôtes, qui plus est, sur le chemin de St Jacques de Compostelle. L'aspect | financier semble primer ici. L'accueil, la générosité et l'empathie des gîtes sur le chemin étaient tout autres. Très dommage.

I can only recommend this establishment.
The room we got was very cute and clean. Mattress was firm and we got a perfect night sleep. Location was perfect in the middle of the old village, as soon as you get to the village it's two doors down.
The only issue we had was the 15 euros breakfast, it had croissants, hot industrial baguettes, plain yogurt, industrial mini-muffins in individual sealed bags, sad meat and all the fruits were rotten, so I would skip that next time and just walk down to the boulangerie.

Charmant hébergement découvert en descendant vers les Asturies. Les propriétaires sont vraiment accueillants et charmants! On a décidé d’y retourner en remontant chez nous! Je recommande !

This is a perfectly located small hotel. We started the Camino the day after staying here and we enjoyed having breakfast early that day. I wish we had more time to enjoy the backyard because it was absolutely stunning- terraced-gardens-hot tub-bocce and views of the surrounding hillside. Rooms were clean.

Fantastic mix of modern renovation and fidelity to local architecture. Rooms were beautifully decorated and fully equipped and clean. Breakfast was perfect. We cannot recommend this place enough.

Mathias & Marjory are wonderful! Everything perfect in the rooms. This place is in a great location and has wonderful views from their garden.

We stayed here the night before we started our Camino. The stone throughout the room is wonderful and the rest of the room is nicely decorated. The bathroom and bedroom had plenty of room to move around. There was plenty of hot water and good water pressure from the shower. The bed was comfortable. We arrived a little early and they allowed us to leave our backpacks there until the 4:00 check in time. The place is centrally located and you can walk to many shops and restaurants. The breakfast is a little pricey, but if you’re waking up early to start your Camino, there are limited options at that time in the morning. We were unable to figure out the AC and by the time we realized it, it was too late to contact the owners.

Servicio excepcional. Limpio y muy acogedor. Siempre dispuestos a agradar al cliente. Me dejé algo olvidado allí haciendo el Camino De Santiago y su gestión fue increíble, al día siguiente tenía el objeto en mi siguiente etapa. Sin duda nos ha fidelizado como clientes. Volveremos.

L’emplacement est parfait. La maison a beaucoup de cachet et les chambres sont très confortables. Le gros plus est l’accueil très sympathique et arrangeant des propriétaires. Nous avons pu laisser quelques affaires la veille pour nous délester. Le guide avec recommandations est très bien fait

Bodde en natt här för ca 6 veckor sedan, innan vi startade vår camino vandring. Absolut ett trivsamt ställe, och mycket hjälpsamma ägare. Blir det fler camino vandringar skall jag försöka få plats här igen,och stanna två nätter. Ett toppen ställe med ett perfekt läge.

We were delighted with this accommodation. The house is beautifully furnished and the room was spacious and very clean. The location was ideal; being right in the centre of the medieval part of town. The garden had spectacular views over the town and mountains behind. We were sorry that we weren’t able to spend more than a night there. We hope to return.

If you like contactless hotels, this is the place for you. You can check in and out using the lockbox code that she'll give you (and if you need to talk to her, she also runs the ice cream shop this hotel is attached to)
Location is impeccable, right on the cutest walking street in town just a matter of seconds from the Camino Pilgrims Office.
Also....please please do not miss out on the view from the top of the backyard courtyard stairs!! SO amazing and beautiful, I felt like I was in a painting of the French countryside.
Stay itself- the building seems very historical but super clean. I could smell how clean it is as I walked in and the shower seems very newly renovated.
The only discomforts were having to ask for water (turns out you can drink tap water here and it's delicious)+ the room was cold and the heat didn't seem to work the best (or maybe I just didnt know how to work the controls)
The breakfast was great, already set up for us when we went to the upstairs common area in the morning.
Overall would definitely stay here again ESPECIALLY for that view from the top of the courtyard stairs <3

When my boyfriend and I stumbled upon Maison d'hotes E. Bernat, we knew we had discovered a special place. Tucked away in the charming town of St. Jean Pied de Port, this hotel is a true gem. It offers a perfect blend of beauty, comfort, and convenience.

We were captivated by the property's beauty as soon as we entered. The hotel exudes a sense of thoughtful design, and every corner speaks of the care and attention to detail that has gone into its creation. Its central location is ideal, making it a convenient base from which to explore the picturesque surroundings.

Our room was a haven of cleanliness and aesthetic pleasure. It was beautifully appointed, radiating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made us feel immediately at home. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after our day's adventures.

What truly sets Maison d'hotes E. Bernat apart is the proprietor and handy-person, Matthias. His dedication is evident in the impeccable remodeling work that adds a unique charm to the hotel. It’s clear that Matthias has poured his heart and soul into this place, and it shows in every polished detail.

The breakfast was another delightful experience. Served with care, it was nourishing and a feast for the eyes, perfectly complementing our overall experience at the hotel.

Our visit to St. Jean Pied de Port, initially a spontaneous decision after our time in Biarritz, turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip, largely thanks to our stay at Maison d'hotes E. Bernat. This hotel is more than just a place to stay; it is a destination, promising a memorable experience to all who visit. We cannot recommend it highly enough and look forward to returning in the future.

La maison est charmante et très bien rénovée, la chambre était confortable et joliment décorée, et le jardin derrière la maison est superbe.
Gros bémol sur le petit déjeuner "terroir" à 15€ : des produits industriels (yaourts, jus de fruit), un seul croissant, à ce prix là c'est décevant.

On fait une pause pour les glaces et crêpes. Elles sont super bonnes.
Le lieu est bien décoré, très sympa et familiale.

Nous avons choisi cet hébergement pour ses avis sur internet pour y passer le week-end. C'est une maison ancienne restaurée avec beaucoup de goût dans sa décoration. Les chambres sont super mignonnes et spacieuses et se distinguent par leur propreté ainsi que par leur emplacement car elles sont situées sur l'artère principale de la vieille ville. Ce fut vraiment un succès de choisir cet hébergement! Le patio intérieur très bien entretenu vaut la peine de se déconnecter dans cet espace pendant un moment. Les propriétaires sont très attentionnés. Si nous revenons dans cette région, nous la choisirons à nouveau pour notre séjour! Merci beaucoup!!

Nous y avons fait un arrêt crêpes / glaces avec nos enfants. malheureusement aucune place pour apprécier l'intérieur, nous avons mangé sur le banc dans la rue.. c'était bon , et le personnel a l'air sympathique. Prix correct

Nous avons adoré cet endroit ! Les chambres étaient impeccables et bien meublées. Belles décorations avec un souci du détail et de la fantaisie. Hôte incroyablement gentil. A répondu rapidement au SMS / e-mail et a été très utile. Le jardin à l'arrière est MAGNIFIQUE avec de belles chambres. Dans l'ensemble, très charmant! Un début parfait pour notre randonnée El Camino!
