We had a strange experience here as we were really looking forward to visiting the garden but were in the end very disappointed at what we found. Whilst on approach it looked rather quiet with no staff evident, a notice stated opening hours between July and October of 9am-4.30pm Mon - Fri. There is an honesty box at the entrance inviting 'donations' in accordance with one's ability to pay. We made an appropriate payment and proceeded to tour the garden. It became clear very quickly that the garden has been totally abandoned with beds overrun with weeds and nature fast encroaching on what was clearly once a well-tended and maintained plot. An old lady, the only other person we saw, approached us and advised that the garden is indeed closed. All very sad really and we certainly felt somewhat cheated by the honesty box! My advice is stay away!

nous n'avions pas de visite guidée mais une personne a pu répondre à nos questions..
à voir, ne serait ce que pour encourager les personnes qui y travaillent
