Petit rapport qualité prix,
Joli endroit mais nous avons été déçu de l’accueil et du service plutôt froid, de la cuisine - de qualité mais ne méritant vraiment pas autant d’éloges que ceux des guides - et enfin des prix, qui sont très loin d’être au plancher… heureusement il y a beaucoup de restaurants à Beaune

We had dinner here with a group of 5 and took the Tradition menu with the cheese addition. The food was very good, the location too. We sat outside in a beautiful garden. The staff & service was impeccable, but quite stiff and formal ( a bit too much for our taste). The snail dish was exceptional, the pigeon great and very good choice of cheeses. What let it down for us was the wine paring. Even though the very knowledgeable sommelier made some changes on our request, the wines and the amounts poured were in no way generous. Just village appelations from Volnay, Pommard & Santenay) and only approx half a bottle was poured for 5 glasses. We would have been much better off by just ordering some bottles from the wine list. In the beginning of the dinner there was some live music coming from the hotel that was not too disturbing (that is the most positive i can say about it)

Great food and very good price for the set dinner (40euro, 2025). Great selection of wines. Even single glass wine - Pommard Premier Cru (Vivino 4.4) available!

The curse of having eaten at more than a few BIB Gourmand is that we may judge them a bit harder. And since La Table du Square have more of a one star prices on some dishes, we were not impressed.

On Plus:
Charming, yes. Great wines at reasonable prices per glass.

On Minus:
Ants on the table and very dirty umbrellas over our heads.
Food was too wet and gishy for my taste.
The lobster tartar is 85% water melon. Fresh, watery taste,, yet not a premium starter at €23.
The Duck, canette, was ok cooked. So why drown an already dead bird in a bland consommé? Skin could still have been crispy if not.
The dessert. My kids did better dishes freebasing in the kitchen at 10 years old.
Cookies, chocolate mousse, and roasted peanuts all mixed to a turd-o-rama. Comfort food, bien sur, but Michelin level, I think not.

It is nice to have a sommelier. But if you ask your waiter to get another glass of the 5 per verre wines, and she looks terrified.. "oh no, only sommelier can do, I will get him" it is not cool. He was rather busy, and the leisurely charm of the place just got bureaucratic.

For the same € 110, there are so many places I'd rather spend it on.

Service was friendly but a little careless, noisy as the restaurant is close to a road with lots of traffic.
Edited as the restaurant is threatening with legal steps:
One star because we got gastrointestinal symptoms including diarrhea and vomiting in the night at 4 am after eating there for dinner (we ate nothing else in the meantime). We feel it is highly likely that it is from their food (involtini, summer deer which was too raw although we explicitly asked for it to be cooked more) Apparently you can go wrong even when choosing a Bib Gourmand Restaurant .

Overall good experience, staff was nice. There’s a car road passing through outdoor area (a little annoying), I couldn’t order from one of the staff, and she didn’t notify the staff tending my table either. Starter was good, duck was over cooked, and grilled peach desert a little boring. It was fairly cheap, but I was expecting more.

We booked ahead and had a lovely three course set meal. Food was delicious and was a lovely table outside. Staff were patient with the language difference and a phenomenal wine list. All up a great dinner experience.

Food was good, but not exceptional for the price range they are in. Wine was served too warm without proper cooling. Terrace was a bit unclean, bird poop everywhere. Staff was friendly and always there when you needed them, but nothing made it memorable or personal

Les plats sont un peu cher (ils sont bons, mais ne sont pas exceptionnels à ce niveau de prix), la carte de vins est très cher, et il manque un peu d’âme au niveau du service aussi…

De mousse van asperge is sterren kwaliteit!!! De dry aged cote du bouef overpriced. De service matig en onattent. Misschien door de groep Amerikanen die (nog) meer geld uit gingen geven. Mooie wijn gedronken.

Kleine Karte mit originellen, liebevoll komponierten Leckereien, hervorragende Empfehlungen aus der tollen Weinkarte, unkompliziert-lebendige Atmosphäre. Ein echtes Gasthaus – wer lieber rundgelutscht-professionelle Langeweile hat, ist hier vielleicht nicht optimal platziert – wir fanden es toll!

Unfortunately, the food was not tasty at all. The soup was cold, the main course was overly basic and oily, and the focaccia was oversalted and soaked in oil. The waitress saw that both of us left our plates almost untouched and asked if we liked it — we said no, obviously. No follow-up questions, no apology, no gesture of goodwill. Just bad. Very bad. I genuinely wonder if the kitchen even tastes what they serve. The evening was ruined. We came because of good reviews — very disappointing. Including long wait between courses.

Le plat était bon mais on vient plus à La table du square pour sa carte de vins. Le sommelier était agréable le reste du personnel était peu avenant. Les plats étaient bons mais il aurait fallu un peu plus dans l’assiette….

Expérience assez décevante pour un restaurant recommandé par le guide Michelin. Déjà en arrivant on nous a demandé de changer de table car ils s’étaient trompés… Ensuite j’ai reçu la même entrée deux fois, donc à la place du plat principal. Bon la qualité de plat - rien a dire même si ça reste assez classique (un poulet comme il en existe dans n’importe quelle rôtisserie). Le rapport qualité prix est défavorable à la qualité. Il faut reconnaître que payer plus de 105 euros à deux pour ça, c’est un peu exagéré. Nous sommes de plus attablés entre la route périphérique et la concession Peugeot de Beaune …

Excellent déjeuner, une pastilla canard , généreuse et inventive. Un dessert surprenant rhubarbe glace chèvre ????, savoureuse. Carte des vins riche. J'ai passé un très bon moment, l'accueil est fort sympa.????
