Stayed at the hotel in September. Loved the secludedness of the area, climbed the surrounding hills and enjoyed a guided tour on horseback.
Tea kettle was in the room, however no fridge or saw any cooking possibilities. The breakfast buffet was well equipped. For dinner told them the day before as they had to prepare for it, for example the next morning met some staff members while they were getting the salmon from the river! So cool!

Very good experience in Winter, hard too get there without 4x4 awd but pool and food +horse are Worth

The accomodations and establishment are very nice. The whole feeling of this place is very unique. It's not just a place where the views are amazing, but also a farm where you can see horses and also 2 very nice dogs. You have a hot sprint outside and inside. We've been in Iceland 3 times and here we ate the best food from all the places.
This guesthouse is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. I will not be surprised if in the future people will visit the west fjords only to stay here. I can't recommend it enough. Thank you so much for having us.

Mountains, fjords, snow, horses, Northern lights, natural thermal springs, and big sleeping dogs...all with the feeling that you're a million miles away. Oh...and don't forget the cat who thinks she's a dog. Our 3 nights at Heydalur was amazing! Everyone was so friendly and the dinners were absolutely incredible (loved the trout and the lamb stew with bananas)! We enjoyed just relaxing around the farm, but we also drove into Ísafjörður one day and every turn was like a post card! So glad that we found this place while planning our 2 week trip to Iceland. Thank you for the amazing stay and the wonderful memories!

Rustig gelegen uitstekend hotel tijdens onze roadtrip in Ijsland waar je in de buurt kan wandelen. Het indoor zwembad met natuurlijk warm water waarrond er vegetatie is voorzien is heerlijk.

My family and I decided to try their breakfast on a whim and it was arguably the best meal we've had in iceland. The bread was the best tasting bread ever!

I have been there several times in different occasions:
- Alone in the camping site,
- Traveling with a friend in the campsite
- Traveling with my family in the hotel room

This place is magic in any possible way:
Stella I believe is one of the pillars of Iceland with her kind heart and the care with which she runs the operation, there is fun parrot that welcoms the guests at the entrance of the reception.
There is a rather big greenhouse with an indoor pool as well as and outdoor one (which i often prefer).

Over the years, everytime i travel to the Westjords this place is a must-go. The location is magical, you could simply spend a long weekend just there, hiking and exploring the area, it is located 1:40h from Isafjörður and even the road to go there is spectacular. There's a good chance to spot some shy artic foxes and seals along the way.
The food and the breakfast are purely authentic Icelandic and really tasty!

Last time I have been there with my family, I casually mentioned that my cousin and aunt are allergic to gluten, and the morning after for breakfast, Stella not only remembered that, but also personally baked some gluten free bread for them.

When instead I firstly came here alone, I had a beautiful evening in the campsite, playing music around a bonfire with other guests.

This place will always have a spot in my heart, and I am sincerely looking forward to going there again.

I only came to eat and make use of the pool and hotspring. Both did not dissapoint. The burger and service was great and the pools were nice and warm.

We spent four nights in Heydalur and couldn't be happier. We arrived late and the team still made sure we got dinner. The rooms were warm even when it was freezing outside. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. The hot pools are amazing (and you can watch the northern lights from them, if skies are clear). The food is great (especially the fish dishes). The whole personnel was incredibly nice, including the animal staff:)

It was a disappointing stay at Heydalur.

The Rooms: Small. Dirty floors. Moldy bathroom. Doors to the room open directly to outside so on windy days, it rattles and the room is drafty. The lock is finicky and takes a while to open and close.

The Restaurant: The puffin starter had an overly smoky taste. The trout with pesto had a fishy taste and the pesto sauce wasn’t very good. Both dishes were quite pricy.

The Location: requires a decently long drive on a gravel road after leaving the main road just to get here. Exploring the grounds would be nice if much of it wasn’t so muddy. There is a natural hotpot nearby but it requires crossing a river. The stepping stones across the river were pretty far apart and some were submerged.

The staff were ok

Very cozy hotels, a hidden gem inside the westfjords. All surroundings are breathtaking, especially in autumn (end August, first 2 weeks of September) when the nature shows its magnificent colours. The restaurant is excellent!

Wir waren vier Nächte in Heydalur und sind alles in allem sehr zufrieden. Das New Summerhouse war Ende September leider schon etwas kalt und bei Sturm auch etwas feucht, aber das Team hat uns mit mobilen Heizungen ausgeholfen, was die Gemütlichkeit sehr gesteigert hat. Die Mitarbeitenden sind super freundlich gewesen und haben uns immer gut weitergeholfen. Es gibt auch leckere vegane Optionen auf der Restaurantkarte. Der Wäschedienst (Waschen, optional auch trocknen und falten) hat uns auf unserer Reise sehr weitergeholfen und war preiswert. Super voll sind natürlich die Pools, vor allem im Gewächshaus und die bezaubernden Hunde, die ganz entspannt das Gelände hüten.

Tolle Lage im Nirgendwo. Sehr netter Service u.a. für Wäsche und Essen.
Schwimmbecken und Hot Pots an der Unterkunft. Natürliche heiße Quelle fußläufig erreichbar.
Straße, die zur Unterkunft führt ist etwas holprig, man sollte ein gutes Auto haben, ideal 4x4. Super süße Hunde.

Lovely family run hotel. Clean and spacious rooms. Beautiful pool facilities and you must try the restaurant for dinner! We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend!

Nice restaurant provide breakfast and dinner which you need to reserve first, very unique swimming pool and nature hot tubes with 2 levels of temperature, and 2 very cute dogs

Sehr gutes Essen auch das Frühstück ist super. Man merkt aber dass hier viel Durchlauf ist. Wir wurden kaum begrüßt obwohl wir mehrere Tage dort waren. Die Hunde und der Papagei sind ein Highlight wie auch der Pool. Das Studio ist für Familien mit einem Kind okay weil es zwei Zimmer gibt. Mit zwei Kindern schlafen alle in einem engen Zimmer.

Wspaniałe miejsce! Czyste pokoje, w restauracji pyszne jedzenie. Dużo przyjaznych zwierząt i magiczny basen wewnętrzny. Duży hotpot z pięknym widokiem. Polecam całym sercem. Obsługa przemiła, pomocna.
