HÔTEL MACCHI ^{* * * *}

Firstly we made the booking 6 months previous and we were messaged 2 months later from the hotel through the booking.com app, email and text to make payment as our bank details had expired. Someone had hacked the hotels system and was fraudulently trying to take payment. We should have cancelled the booking at this point. The scammers tried to take 4 separate payments of over £450 each which we later found out was going to a crypto account in Europe. ||4 months later we check in and ask reception if maybe something had been done to compensate the bad experience through the fraud attempt……. Maybe a complimentary breakfast, small upgrade or something but no “Nothing”. I was told I had to speak with the owner.||Then the following day we had a bottle of wine that was for our anniversary to share in our room, we simply asked reception for 2 wine glasses, they then told me to ask the bar, so then went to the bar and asked the barmaid. She then pointed at the owner who was sitting with 2 other guests and the barmaid said “he is my boss, you have to ask him”??? Baring in mind, I am asking for 2 wine glasses not a Rolex. ||He then spoke across the whole bar, “you can’t take wine glasses to your room”, instead of pulling me to one side like any decent person, he did this in front of everyone, absolutely disgusting!!! ||I then seen him in reception and wanted to explain the fraud attempt aswell as the wine glass situation and he just started shouting aggressively about how you have to buy his overpriced wine from his poor wine collection to be given wine glasses. He was extremely rude, no people skills and have never experienced a person like him. ||We just left it at this point and thought it is pointless communicating with the hotel. I have worked in 5 star hotels for over 15 years and stayed in over 1000 better hotels world wide and never experienced this kind of service! ||||The room was small but very noisy as directly opposite a supermarket which starts receiving deliveries at 5am.||||The pool area is tired, jacuzzi cold, steam room with no steam, gym with no gym equipment, leg part of massage chair broken which is the only part you want after a days skiing, probably why it was free. ||||We would definitely not recommend this hotel and will never be staying here again!||Reading other poor reviews, and seeing the hotels replies to them are “you can’t please everyone”, sums up that there is a severe lack of care and responsibility and shouldn’t be in the hotel industry. Was probably handed down from their Mum and Dad.||Should maybe work for the prison service not in hospitality.

Hôtel de grande qualité et de très bons standing avec un grand rapport qualité prix. Le patron est très gentil. Le spa est vraiment génial un super sauna et une bonne piscine. Les chambres sont très mignonnes. Franchement le grand top cet hôtel je recommande fortement

Wonderful hotel that strikes the balance between authenticity and modernity. Big plus for providing showers after a long day in the slopes before travelling home!

Fabulous stay at Hotel Macchi. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Great facilities at the hotel. Cosy clean rooms. Would definitely stay again.
