At the famous Château Margaux, "premier grand cru classé" according to the official classification of Bordeaux wines of 1855, which shares this rare distinction with Château Lafite Rothschild, Château Latour, Château Mouton-Rothschild and Château Haut-Brion. But this nectar is no longer what it used to be, with more than questionable winemaking and production techniques using pesticides in abundance, more than is reasonable!

Worse experience among my wine and castles tour. The guardian was so rude and unfriendly, not even polite ans willing to answer our questions. I will ne ver return.

We visited Château Margaux in late October and enjoyed a professional tour of the property. It was a magnificent occasion. We tasted the 2011 vintage on Château Margaux and the 2015 vintage of Pavillon Rouge. Both were spectacular.

On the tour we took in the Bordeaux region, this city, Margaux, was certainly the one that impacted us the most. The Medoc area is, without a shadow of a doubt, very welcoming and chuffed. In this iconic terroir visited, Château Margaux will undoubtedly remain in our memories. Make your reservation in advance, otherwise you’ll find yourself left high and dry during the tour. Cheers????

J ai 82 ans , et le meilleur souvenir
d un vin exquis bu pour l anniversaire de ma pauvre maman et apporte par un cousin, certes aisé , est un Château Margaux J avais 15 ans et j habite Geneve! J en ai toujours le goût en bouche! Bravo

Excellente visite organisée par Mme Rouleau en commençant par l’histoire du château qui a su garder une taille impressionnante contrairement à d’autres du médoc qui se sont retrouvés morcelés au fil des siècles.
Le nouveau chai s’intègre magnifiquement bien au reste des installations plus anciennes.
On est impressionné tout au long de la visite par l’immensité et la sobriété des lieux.
Le château est un des 4 seuls (Bordelais) à avoir sa propre tonnellerie, c’était très instructif.
Le premier vin était excellent avec une longueur en bouche !!
