L'HÔTEL DU CHÂTEAU LÉOGNAN

Der Check in hat über eine Stunde gedauert. Ob wohl dort eigentlich ein Wein Shop ist, kam keiner auf die Idee uns auf ein Glas Wein oder eine Weinprobe einzuladen.Wir sollten warten. Nach dem Check in schloss leider der Wein Laden.
Dann haben im Restaurant einen Fensterplatz reserviert, leider nicht bekommen.
Dann wollten wir in die erste Etag Essen, wir durften nicht.
Ein anderes Pärchen, durfte dann dort alleine essen. Warum? Offensichtlich werden Gäste unterschiedlich behandelt.
Dafür mussten wir das Essen zweimal zurück geben bis es von Medium rare endlich medium done war, leider hatte dann der Zweite schon aufgegessen.
Die Terassen der Zelt Zimmer liegen leider alle im Schatten, es würde sich lohnen den Wald etwas auszulichten
Und 240 € für ein Zelt ohne Frühstück ist auch etwas teurer, In Afrika liebe ich so etwas, aber man könnte etwas bei den Afrikanern lernen. Auch von der Entlüftung des WCs, es entlüften ins Schlafzimmer
Auch die Spinnweben sprechen für sich oder eher doch gegen Qualität
Vielleicht sind Deutsch nicht so beliebt, insbesondere, wenn sie nur Deutsch oder Englisch sprechen?

Nous sommes venus pour une visite ainsi qu'une dégustation de ce vignoble ! Quelle fut notre déconvenue au moment de l'arriver.
Nous avons annoncé notre venue via la réservation du site qui pourtant n'est pas obligatoire !
Nous avons été reçus pour une équipe qui à première vue ne voulait pas travailler. Qui plus est au vu de nos tenues décontractés ne rentrait pas la "caste" du caviste/réceptionniste !

Nous trouvons cette attitude très déplacée même si cela ne fera pas grand effet sur ce vignoble, nous préférons aller près de la méditerranée ou les gens semblent plus sympathiques.

Une expérience en demi-teinte à cause d’un manque d’effectif dans l’hôtel … le staff s’est excusé mais cela a eu un impact sur notre séjour.
Nous avons eu un accueil froid, nous avons eu le sentiment de déranger… la personne ne nous a pas présenté les services proposés , nous a même demandé à quelle heure nous allions quitter la chambre le lendemain… la personne à l’accueil demande à un collègue de nous accompagner jusqu’à notre chambre, le collègue lui répond « non je ne peux pas » devant nous …
Heureusement que le château, le lieu, et la chambre étaient très bien.
Le spa en plein milieu de la nature est superbe par contre un nettoyage plus approfondi et nécessaire…
Des choses sont donc à revoir pour répondre au standing de l’hôtel …

We stayed at this beautiful place for two nights and were overall very pleased with the experience. The room was very comfortable, with a nice king-sized bed and luxurious toiletries. The premises were vast and welcoming, and the staff were very friendly, polite, and eager to help. We loved the restaurant — it was reasonably priced, and the meal was delicious.

However, I cannot rate it five stars, as there were two aspects that were a bit disappointing to us:
There is nothing to do on the estate in case of bad weather. It was pouring rain, and we had a free hour before dinner, hoping to sit at the bar. It turned out to be closed and only opens during dinner time. There was no other option to enjoy a cocktail, wine, or even tea or coffee. You can buy a bottle of wine at the shop and sit in the lounge, but we don’t usually drink wine by the bottle before a meal.

Breakfast was quite expensive (€25 per person) but lacked vegetables and a green salad. The buffet offered only pastries (although very tasty), and from the table service, you could order eggs, pancakes, yogurt, and more pastries. I try to eat healthily and really missed my morning dose of cucumbers and tomatoes.

A quick honorable mention: they sell wine at the shop and offer the same wine at the restaurant for €20 more. This seemed a bit strange, considering it’s local wine produced right here at the vineyard.

To sum up, it’s a very lovely place to spend a couple of nights — remote, serene, and peaceful, with an amazing restaurant. Personally, I would choose another place for breakfast and come prepared with my own beverages for rainy evenings.

The place is considered new and well constructed. However, we are not too impressed with the wine tour they have provided. We were arriving quite early and was offered a free wine tasting and that was excellent. However, we had extra time and decided to went for a wine tour costing 10 euros per person (30 in total) and all the guy did was just walked us to a small chapel within the property ( no wineyard no fermenting process, no nothing just BS story about how the chateau was taken over by generations). It left us bad impression at the checkin and we were hoping the hotel is more considerable.
