HUTTOPIA ARCACHON

Camping is mooi gelegen in het bos. Alles vrij nieuw en schoon. Echter ligt het wel iets afgelegen van centrum / restaurants / horeca waardoor je ofwel 20 min moet lopen of moet rijden. Wat in ons geval met baby niet zo praktisch was. We verbleven in een houten huisje waarin een douche en keuken prima waren, maar vanwege het ontbreken van airco (of ventilator gemonteerd aan het plafond) was het enorm heet in de zomer (juli 2025). Wellicht is dit beter in het voor- of najaar maar nu dus heet. Het zwembad is mooi gelegen echter geen gras en weinig schaduwplekken wat onhandig is met een kleintje. Tot slot was het restaurant alleen in het weekend open en is er geen echte campingwinkel. Wel aardige staf en Arcachon is prachtig.

Wij zijn eerder weggegaan omdat het met een baby niet praktisch was.

Sehr schöner Platz oberhalb von Arcachon. Sauber. Ruhig und unfassbar freundliches junges Personal. Die roulottee stehen schön unter den Bäumen ???? und sind gut ausgestattet. Gerne wieder

Camping très agréable sur les hauteurs d’Arcachon.

We recently stayed at Huttopia Arcachon and unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired.

To begin with, the lodges are extremely close to one another, offering little to no privacy. You can hear everything from the neighboring accommodations – even someone coughing. Our lodge wasn’t properly cleaned upon arrival: the glasses were cloudy and the trash bin had a strong, unpleasant odor. Not exactly the welcoming start you’d hope for.

Service across the site was another major letdown. When dining at the on-site lodge, you're expected to serve yourself completely – get your own cutlery, glasses, and place your order at the bar, even if several staff members are standing around chatting. The lack of attention or care was disappointing.

Even worse, the pool area seemed to be open to anyone. On multiple occasions, we saw people from the nearby residences entering with their families, wearing regular street clothes, clearly not guests of the campsite. There was no staff presence to monitor or manage this, which felt very unprofessional and unsanitary.

Noise was a huge issue during our stay. Several nights turned into full-blown parties, running from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., with loud music and shouting. When guests tried to intervene, it only escalated. There was no security on site, no emergency contact, and when we brought it up the next morning, the response was a vague “we’ll take care of it.” The following night, it happened again.

The seating by the pool was also poorly thought out — uncomfortable chairs that weren’t designed for lounging, which made relaxation nearly impossible.

Overall, this campsite is overpriced for what it offers. The lack of basic services, cleanliness, and peace makes it hard to justify the cost. I would not recommend Huttopia Arcachon to anyone looking for a relaxing or well-managed holiday experience.
