La Licorne is a wonderful choice for visitors to Carnac. If you like to walk everywhere, you can walk to the beach and, in the other direction, into the ville. We often did both in the same day. If you love to walk, you can even walk to the megaliths and back. Our room (105) had a very pretty view of rooves and gardens, the bed was very comfy, and the bath was a tad more spacious than most affordable European hotels. We opted for the breakfast which was great!--yogurt, fruit, delicious bread, croissants, great coffee, and so on. Our only minor trouble was that the internet was quite slow, so if you're coming here to get work done, beware. As a bonus for those traveling without a car, the bus stop for the #1 line, which will take you both to the Auray train station (with many connections, including Paris) and, in the other direction, to the ferry for Belle Ile, is right outside the door (the stop is called Les Salines on the bus schedule). We were very happy to have stayed here.

Petite pause parfaite de 2 nuits à l'hôtel La Licorne pendant un roadtrip sur le GR34. Hôtel calme et très bien situé entre plages et centre ville, un très bon accueil et de très bons petit déjeuner. Un point positif, la présence d'un parking pour le stationnement .

Nous avons apprécié le charme de cet hôtel, son calme et la gentillesse de son personnel. Les chambres ne sont pas très grandes mais fonctionnelles et la literie est très confortable. Les petits déjeuners sont copieux et servis dans un espace baigné de lumière qui aspire à la sérénité. Retiré du bord de mer il permet d'échapper aux "tumultes" de la plage tout en étant proche de toutes les commodités. Nous recommandons.

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel La Licorne. The hotel is very clean, located in perfect location to explore the area and Sandrine went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. I have some mobility issues and she offered to carry my bags to my room. When I wasn’t feeling well she offered to warm up the food I had purchased so that I could have a warm meal. I was treated like a valued guest and I thank them so much for their kindness. It really is a lovely hotel, very quiet all the time and their breakfast is excellent.
