AUBERGE QUATRE TEMPS

This was a disappointment that did not need to be. We appreciated the free shuttle service from the ferry to the auberge which is at the far edge of town. The rooms were fine but the TV was a bit of mystery. We had prepaid for breakfast. The first morning, the breakfast was late and the buffet was economical. Knowing we would need to leave early the next day to catch the ferry, we asked for an earlier time to have breakfast which we were assured would be possible. However, no one showed up to provide breakfast the next day. When we asked by email for a refund, it was not forthcoming. My recommendation is DO NOT prepay for breakfast. Go downtown to the boulangerie instead.

Je ne sais par quoi commencer tellement tout était parfait. La chambre réservée (un studio) a une vue magnifique sur Saint-Pierre et son port. Elle est joliment décorée avec un coin salon, un coin lit et un coin cuisine. Il y a tout l’équipement souhaité pour les longs séjours : four, four micro-ondes, lave-vaisselle, machine à laver séchante, on s’y sent bien. Ça permet vraiment de ne pas aller tout le temps au restaurant.Le petit déjeuner buffet est excellent, le choix n’est pas énorme mais tous les produits sont excellents (et c’est ça l’essentiel): viennoiserie, pain, jambon, fromage, biscuit. J’ai testé deux fois le restaurant et là aussi c’était parfait : boulettes de morue la première fois et gratin de saint-jacques la deuxième fois. Et le meilleur pour la fin: l’ambiance familiale : merci à tout le monde pour le super séjour passé à l’auberge.

Pascal and his family were so very accommodating, helpful, and friendly. Lovely dinner in the dining room, with great wines to match and delicious breakfasts. They offered excellent advice as to where to go/see and which restaurants to visits for lunch/dinner and even made our reservations on our behalf. Picked us up at the ferry terminal and dropped us off as well. The location was up the "hill", but an easy walk. Stunning view to the town below. Highly recommended!!

I had a lovely short stay in St Pierre, hosted by Pascal & family. The inn was comfortably furnished, spotlessly clean and had a lovely view over St Pierre. Pascal offers a complimentary ferry pickup, which was much appreciated. Dinner was a delicious homemade meal in the friendly dining room. Would definitely return and recommend to others.
