Carlo, prezzo giusto.
Under a sky of lemons, with af creative and local kitchen
Pineta 1903 is one of the oldest restaurants in Maiori.
The kitchen is in the creative department, and yet 100 percent locally inspired in terms of ingredients.
We could have wished that more had been done with the presentation of the dishes, which frankly seemed a bit messy and casual
Pineta 1903 has joined the Slow Food manifesto.
We ate inside the modern restaurant because it was raining. Otherwise the huge pergolas of lemons behind the restaurant is a little paradise in itself.
Beautiful spot out back under the lemon trees. Antonella specifically was amazing and explained the menu to us as well as recommended a delicious bottle of wine to go with our meals. It was such a pleasant experience that we went back twice in the week we were visiting! Thanks Pineta and Antonella!
Amazing food and service. We ate inside due to weather, otherwise five stars across the board. We had the fish tasting menu. Out of this world! With wine parings included it was a great value too. If you find yourself in Maiori you must go to Pineda 1903.
Truly the best meals I had in my time on the Amalfi Coast, I came back a second time. It is beautiful dining under the lemon trees, but the food was something special! I knew I was in for a good experience when I read it was a Slow Food restaurant. Every flavour in each dish was considered and thoughtful, and were matched perfectly. The food had a sense of homeliness yet exquisite. The service from all the servers and Carlo himself were excellent. If you are going to visit Maiori please do not miss your opportunity to dine here! I am still dreaming about my dinners here! Thank you to the Team at Pineta 1903 for a lovely dining experience.
I want to preface this by saying I don’t like giving negative reviews and my group eats a lot of dishes similar to the ones ordered this night.
I’m not quite sure if there was bad timing or not but my group did not enjoy our food here at all. The experience, presentation, and atmosphere are amazing but that’s about it. With the high reviews we expected a lot more. We got two appetizers and a meal each and quite literally not one of us liked anything we got, even the cocktails, they were tasty but seemed to have zero alcohol in them. My “seafood soup” wasn’t a soup it was just a bowl of shellfish with an unappetizing crust (not the described puff pastry) and all of the clams had rocks in them (no, not your typical grit that you get occasionally - rocks, in every one). Definitely not worth the spendy $25-35 per plate.
The environment was wonderful. The food was very over priced and the drinks were very watered down, and the food was absolutely very disappointing. I ended up going down the street and getting take out pizza which was 3x better than the food we got here. The pasta tasted like there was a full lemon peel in my pasta. Which was extremely bitter. The total for 4 people ended up being over 60€ a person.
Ristorante Pineta was a wonderful place to stop by and eat during our short trip in Maiori. Upon arrival, I asked for a wine that was floral, semi dry, and balanced and our server Antonella made the most perfect wine suggestion! I was very impressed. The ravioli with lobster and pumpkin was very delicious with all of the flavors and the hand made pasta. The owner I believe may have been the one who stopped by our table and recommended a really nice lemon cream cake dessert. The cake was moist and the lemon cream flavor was delicious! Finally the atmosphere was very nice sitting underneath what felt like vines but it was actually a garden of lemon trees! It was beautiful. Thanks for a wonderful experience!
Piatti gustosi..sicuramente da tornare..
