Cet endroit était si paisible, il avait des toilettes propres et un personnel aimable qui était prêt à nous aider pour tout ce dont nous avions besoin. C'est aussi un endroit magnifique pour se promener et il y a un long chemin sur l'eau.

Les gens qui nous ont accueilli ont été plus que charmants. Ils nous ont fourni des tonnes de renseignements pour notre séjour. Qui plus est ils se sont appliqués à nous parler en français !

Les deux personnes du centre d'accueil ont été formidables. Ils ont été très serviables et m'ont donné une leçon d'histoire complète. J'aimerais que ces personnes soient présentes dans tous les centres d'accueil. Hautement recommandé

One of my favorite places to stop when passing through. It's not your generic rest stop and has character.

Good place to get information. Friendly, helpful, staff. PrettyAzalea trail, flowering plants and ferns with identifying name tags. Shady trees and short boardwalk on pond with wild birds. Wheelchair friendly.

My family and I had a great time visiting at the lafayette Visitor center The only downfall is homeless. People showed up right when we were leaving and started to try to intimidate us bad move

Lovely hidden gem tucked between 2 main roads. Relaxing walk across a bayou on a shady wooden bridge, while taking in the labeled flora and fauna.
Inside the air conditioned center itself, are the things you'd expect and appreciate. Information, friendly people ready to help, pamphlets, and restrooms. I love finding these prideful well cared for stops.

I stopped here looking for postcards. Alas, there were no postcards for sale here. The lady working gave me a few (ugly) free ones, but they were not what I wanted. I wanted tourist postcards featuring an alligator or Spanish moss, or some other Louisiana thing. None. There were none.
The lady working was nice, but kind of clueless. She told me I should go to Vermillionville (some kind of museum) to see if there were postcards there.
My elderly mother really enjoyed the alligator carved from wood.

You need to stop by here and talk to the people. Very friendly. Great suggestions and you can find out what's going on and great suggestions on where to eat. Loved Dwight's restaurant. Thanks.

The older lady helping us was so informative and gave us some great suggestions of what we should see/experience while in Lafayette for just a few days. She was incredibly patient with our small children and treated them as if they were just as important as the adults- so glad we stopped in!

The place was very nice, on the water, the lady inside was outstanding and very helpful, recommend if ever in Lafayette to stop and experience the place

I attended a memorial service at a Catholic Church and a Celebration of Life event downtown. It was a very pleasant day.

Yes, some interesting places to visit, good food. Poverty sticken, some of the worst roads and traffic we have experienced. US Federal Infrastructure trucks roaming around and yes, they are in the right place! Downtown we were accosted by a mentally ill person who threatened violence unprovoked. Don't even think about bringing your rig downtown. This is the center of Acadiana and all associated cultural things are accessable but it is a dying, rundown place with a small strip of higher end downtown to visit and we found that it was better to have a specific destination in mind than to wander around the city.
