Came here after my hotel at La Quinta in Metairie was overbooked and forced us to find a different hotel.

Immediately was greeted with a smile and politeness. Was given very friendly treatment as the guy at the front desk was already aware of our situation. Couldn't have had a better experience.

Location is okay. The Waffle House makes it a little noisy at night so that isn't the best.

The room was okay. Looks like the floors were redone recently but that was it. It's old inside and things are very not well kept. It could be maintained much better but it could have been worse as well so can't complain too much.

Check in was a tad complicated but it got fixed. The room was clean and very nice. Thw one challenge was the hot water in the shower. It took about 8 minutes for the water to get warm enough to stand under. And the pressure was not the best.

Great location, low price. Hard beds, skimpy breakfast, no good area for dogs being it was dog friendly and they charge 20 extra dollars per night.

Because money is an issue here and it's so very precious, I'm leaving one star. I was charged twice for my room with another charge pending. I noticed a double charge pending the night I was there and was told I would only be charged once and here we are with 3 charges so far. Beware when staying here if you're hard earned money is important to you.

Great place to get rest. Staff is excellent . Place very clean. Room was great.

After booking my room with my Windham rewards points, as I do during the holidays to save a few dollars, I was told I had to pay $2 CASH for cleaning my room. Then I was told this was an occupancy tax. I said I'm nut sure about that, but if you need to charge me $2, then charge my card so I have a record of it. I was told this has to be cash... This all sounded fishy to me. I called Windham, and one person said that that did sound funny. Then I was transferred to customer service and was told that it's the hotels own choice or policy to charge this and could ask for cash, no record, so they pay no tax on this money...
I paid and earned my free night. I paid tax when I earned my money to pay for the previous stays ( and tax was paid then) to earn my free night.
25 years of staying in hotels and using the points service the last 10 years, I have never had a business ask me for $2 CASH to complete my transaction that was already paid for.
I just completed a stay at another hotel the night before ( another Windham hotel) using my points and that hotel did not ask for $2 CASH for occupancy tax or cleaning fee.

Beware

While the website says pet friendly, they refused service because we had a handicap dog.

Worst hotel room I’ve ever stayed in!! And when I went to the office about it was told he couldn’t do anything until tomorrow and was very very rude !!We ended up going to days inn 4 minutes down the road!!!

Location is near to the interstate, the room was clean. There is challenge with the hot water as after few minutes temperature of water drops. It’s warm not hot water for bath.
They only had cereal and bread for breakfast.

Okay for the night. Rooms were very clean the location and price were great for a roadside stop on a weekend .

However, I'm taking points off as room 227 had no working hot water, and a malfunctioning hair dryer.

Mold mildew bugs and drug addicts all over the property did not feel safe at all would not recommend

Room was clean, but the hot water was barely lukewarm, even after running 30 minutes. Breakfast was nothing special.

To say the room looked like a crackhouse would be charitable. There was an overwhelming musty/moldy smell, the baseboard was pulled away from the wall at a 45 degree angle, the tub and sink were both cracked and chipped, the wall and ceiling of the shower were cracked and bulging, and the bedspread had several cigarette burn holes (in a nonsmoking room)

Bed had bugs. They weren't bedbugs. They were some type of gnat that got all over my body. I changed rooms for the night and checked out in the morning.

We had a great stay. It was only 1 night. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. Easy check in and check out. Quiet rooms and area. Would definitely stay again. It's about 30 minutes from Bourbon Street. It was an easy drive, minimal traffic.
