Kismet ist eines der Wahrzeichen der Hipster in East L.A. Man kann ihnen Recht geben, denn diese kleinen Teller zum Teilen sind einfach perfekt. Inspiriert von der libanesischen und nahöstlichen Küche sind die Zitronen-Sesam-Hühnchen, die veganen Falafel, der Hummus mit Pesto und die frischen Salate mit Zwiebeln und Auberginen modern, kreativ und exquisit. Die Einrichtung aus blondem Holz ist erfrischend und das minimalistische Ambiente bringt diese hervorragend zusammengestellten Gerichte besonders gut zur Geltung. Das Restaurant ist klein, daher ist eine Reservierung am Abend unerlässlich, es sei denn, Sie sind nur zwei Gäste: In diesem Fall können Sie Ihr Glück in letzter Minute versuchen.

This was a great recommendation from a friend who had been to Kismet. We had a great time. The food and service were just excellent.

NEW FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN LA! Or maybe in the world...each dish was spectacular aesthetically, and held an exquisite combinations of flavor. The ambience was calm and peaceful, and the tables for two were turned so that you were closer to the person you're with & you have more room to spread out on each side - genius. The host, the waiter, the person we mistook for our waiter, everyone was lovely and kind, guests included. Will definitely be back again. And again. And again.

Food was very delicious here, and the staff was very kind and accommodating. We had a large group of people so we went with a pre-fixe menu and it was great!
We had a few with dietary restrictions and they were able to accomodate for this as well.

UPDATE**** I THREW UP
Honestly, food was overrated and super expensive. We told them we didn’t love it, and they only comp’d for the rice. It’s honestly overrated, would’ve felt better if they actually recognized that it wasn’t a pleasant experience for us. I wouldn’t go there again, this is my first review in my life - think about the velocity of that statement
Three of us spent $270+ and probably 5% of the food was actually satisfying.

The food was delectable and distinctive, and the service was great. The tahdig/persian crispy rice and the roasted maitake mushrooms were our favorites of the night. My boyfriend and I thought that some dishes could tone down on the acidity (like the carrot side dish). Overall, it was a solid dinner, and we would certainly be back to try the other offerings and the dessert menu.
