Im ersten Moment eine Oase aber eine kalte. Die Zimmer eisig, die Bettdecken dünn, die Umgebung trostlos und selbst das Personal wirkte unterkühlt.

Camped on the "float" sites due to being full, but what an experience! Fabulous, friendly staff, great food and what a legendary facility. There are many museums with less history.. Bathroom facilities immaculately clean. Best base for the Fish River Canyon.

Wir waren nur eine Nacht hier, unterwegs Richting Süden und waren auf der Campsite. Schöner Campsite, grosse Standplätze mit sehr sauberen, schönen Sanitäranlagen. Weil die Nacht bei uns sehr kalt war(-5 Grad, an unsere erste Nacht im Zelt!!!), gingen wir Abends nach dem Essen noch ein bisschen aufwärmen in der Lodge. Das Kaminfeuer brannte ( sehr gemütlich) und wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen.

Les excursions proposées sont très intéressantes (dunes, arbres pétrifié et couché de soleil en dominant les plaines).Il y a 3 trails possible au départ des lodges. Merci au directeur Mr Newmann Francis pour sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité qui à enrichir notre séjour.

Gondwana caters more to the affluent traveller and it shows here: we stayed at the campsite, right next to the electric fence of the adjacent vegetable farm. The spot was quite basic (water, electricity and braii place) and the facilities as well (e.g. no towels, warm water not working in every stall) and quite far from the plot. All this was quite surprising as it is quite expensive (~500N$ for a spot). You get the feeling of being the ugly, unloved, but necessary cousin of the nice chalet lodging at the site.
Edit: after having read a lot of other feedbacks, maybe I am a little spoilt because I have been travelling Namibia for two weeks now, and (almost) never felt the way I did today!

Camping place in a quite nice setting, 5 km away from the lodge (where registration is made and where the landscape is more scenic).
Camping place is not far from the main road and we were disturbed by the sound of the cars which contrasts with the peace of the scenery.
We were sharing the camping spot with other people but that wasn't an issue as the ablutions are really nice and comfortable.

The place is beautiful and relaxing. Thank you for making it affordable for us Namibians too. The service was wonderful. Friendly and loving staff members.

Très joli Campsite aux portes du Kalahari. Les emplacements de camping sont spacieux, il y a de l'eau et de la lumière. Les sanitaires (douches et WC) sont très propres et fonctionnels, la douche est bien chaude c'est agréable.
Possibilité de restauration sur place, l'intérieur est très cosy mais les prix un peu élevés.
Seul petit bémol à ce bel ensemble : l'absence d'électricité sur les emplacements de camping, on ne peut pas brancher son frigo ou recharger ses appareils. Sinon rien à redire, je recommande pour 1 ou 2 nuits.

Wir waren hier als zweite Station unserer Namibia Rundreise. Wir waren nicht in der Lodge sondern auf der Campsite. Das Lodge Gelände gleicht einer kleinen grünen Oase - wirklich sehr schön. Die Mitarbeiter*Innen sind äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend, sodass man sich wirklich sehr wohl fühlt. Die Stellplätze und Sanitäranlagen sind sehr sauber. Der Stellplatz ist gut von den anderen Gästen getrennt und auch die Lage vermittelt vor allem in den goldenen Stunden ein tolles Afrika-Ranch Flair. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis der Camp Site und des Essens Abends ist sehr gut ( wir haben für ein Menü mit Wein umgerechnet 13€ p.p. bezahlt!) und wird vor Ort angebaut! Das konnten wir in einer kleinen Führung von einem Mitarbeiter sehen. Der Pool ist sauber und sehr erfrischend. Aktivitäten werden sonst keine Angeboten (wohl aber in der Nähe). Für uns war das okay da wir hier explizit entspannen wollten.

Experienced the best of glamping. The facility was well equipped with all the necessary equipment items we needed. The scenery was amazing with a privacy. Not far from Sesriem and sossusvlei. The staff were amazing and offered assistance throughout. An absolute getaway location for those who want privacy

而且選擇真的不多~滿滿滿
不過晚上房間外面出現劍羚真的是被嚇死????
雖然外面有圍籬~但我看過牠跳超高
如果跳進來可能會把我頂死????
晚餐一樣有elan羚羊肉
其實就像好吃不油的牛肉啦~????
我問導遊：啊如果是野生動物，
像這樣吃半熟的會不會有寄生蟲蛤?
導遊說其實這是養的啦~都會檢查唷

Toll gelegen mit Wanderwegen und künstlichem Wasserloch an dem sich Wildtiere einfinden, die man vom Esstisch aus beobachten kann. Sehr schön gemacht, guter Service!

We loved our time at the Namib Desert campsite and lodge. Everything was well organised and the food at the lodge was great! The location is quite a drive to Sesriem and Sossusvlei, but on the flipside shortens the journey to Swakopmund or Windhoek if that is your next stop.

Gondwana is always good, customer service was excellent. Camp site was good, though toilets, showers and kitchen facilities a bit far. But prizes are correspondingly reasonable. Thank you Gondwana. Always a good experience!

Beautiful lodge and chalets/rooms, however 7 x allocated camping spots looks like an afterthought. All in a row, boxed in underneath a row of huge palm trees. Although well furnished with braai, tap, working bench & electricity point it sadly lacks the "oomph" of the lodge & cottages.
