Absolutely loved our stay at Laugarholl in September. The rooms were big and comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and most of all, the buffet at dinner was the best meal we had in our 2 week trip without any doubt, it was a bit expensive but everything was delicious. Breakfast was OK, with different options but not as good as dinner, but this was included with our stay so it was enough for us. The outside pool was not included in the price of the room but for a small fee I was able to try it and really enjoyed it as well. I will visit them again in my next trip to Iceland.

Pretty location. Twin room with shared bath was good, not great for the price. Walls are very thin and I could hear everything my neighbors were saying plus the man snoring all night through the wall next to me. Food was expensive. Have to pay extra to use the swimming pool...why not included? The pool is a large swimming pool that has been filled with thermal water and was very enjoyable. Hotel had a nice large living room if you are there with friends. Probably would not stay here again.

Hotel Laugarholl war ein Highlight unserer Luxus-Reise.
Ein wundervolles Hotel mitten im nirgendwo, mit einer historischen Familiengeschichte und einem Vulkan ???? beheiztem Luxus Hotel, was sein eigenes Schwimmbadhaus zu bieten hat.
Das absolute Highlight war das hauseigene Museum mit naturbelassenen erhaltenen Ureinwohner -Häus(chen).
Das Hotel wird im Familienbetrieb betrieben, und ist einfach nur wunderschön ????????????????♥️♥️♥️

Liebevoll renovierte saubere Zimmer, die gemeinschaftlichen Sanitäranlagen waren super sauber und gut.
Gutes Frühstück, abends konnte man am leckeren Buffet teilnehmen.
Im offenen Schwimmbad waren wir nicht.

In einem reizvollen Tal gelegenes Hotel. Eigenes Bad und Pot. Sehr schönes Frühstücksbuffet und sehr leckeres Abendessen. Besonders aufgefallen ist uns die freundliche Atmosphäre. Alle geben sich große Mühe und sind mit viel Liebe bei der Sache. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt.

We had functional but nice room; the shared bath was also functional and clean with area to keep stuff during the shower. Included breakfast was ok. The dinner buffet was handmade and tasty. We would book again.

Spend a night on the camp grounds, so can't speak to the hotel. However, the geothermal pool was an amazing way to relax after a long day of travel, and after the sun set, I understood what they meant by "surrounded by sorcery". Truly a magical place.

A comfortable little hotel with a nice warm pool and an ancient natural hot spring.

The food was great, the staff were friendly and helpful.

The rooms were very comfortable. The curtains don't block the sun as well as I would like given how long the sun is up here in the summer.

Sehr schön. Das Abendessen wird jeden Abend als individuelles Buffet zubereitet.
Der große Pool nebenan sollte man unbedingt besucht haben. Kaum Leute! Und die Aussicht! Genial.

Very comfy place to stay in the West Fjords area. These are simple, comfortable accommodations in a remote area of Iceland. There’s also an attached hot spring next to the hotel. There are some great hikes to waterfalls nearby and plenty of gorgeous scenery on the surrounding roads. The hotel owner Vicktoria is super friendly and knows more about the West Fjords area than anyone else I encountered on my travels in Iceland. Also - The attached restaurant offers very good food - Lamb and cod are the area staples. A great place to stay if your traveling in this area.

Hotel gut bis sehr gut, Zimmer sauber und groß genug, Dusche WC sehr gut, Hot Tub und Schwimmbad sehr gut auch wenn ein kleiner Beitrag berechnet wird, Frühstück ausreichend und ok, Buffet am Abend war sehr gut, Insgesamt kann man den Platz hier empfehlen, würde wieder buchen.

This hotel is about out of town and the setting is very quiet. You have to leave your shoes at the door though and the front door is locked at night so getting something from your car requires someone to come with you and hold the door while you run out. The breakfast room is a bit small and fills up quickly when breakfast opens at 8. The buffet is a slimmed down version of what you find at the larger hotels, same food but smaller portions. The pool is huge and filled with the natural spring water and has some history to it. They also have some turf cottages you can view too and read about the history of them

Guesthouse de très bon rapport qualité prix.
Emplacement tout proche d'une très belle cascade accessible à pied.

Nettes Ambiente, einfach aber ok. Toll ist der 12,5m lange warme Pool und der natürliche Hot Pot der von den Gästen von 8:00-22:00 kostenlos genutzt werden kann. Macht mit der tollen Aussicht echt Laune. Frühstück ist von 8:00-10:00 Auswahl entsprechend dem Preis passend.

Eine der angenehmsten Unterbringungen die wir auf unserer Rundreise durch die Westfjords hatten!

Man merkt dem Hotel Laugarhôll an, dass es mal ein Schul-Internat war und die Räumlichkeiten strahlen es auch an jeder Ecke des Hauses aus. Es wirkt da und dort manchmal angenehm anthroposophisch.

Das Frühstück ist gut und ausreichend und das Angebot ist vielfältig.

Unser Abendessen war sehr gut. Isländisch eigensinnig und sehr gut.
Eintopf. Lamm-Auflauf, Lammhackbraten, Fisch, viel frischer Salat, frisch gebackenes Brot, Skyr, Kuchen, Kaffee, Wein, Bier und so weiter. Alles reichlich und sehr nett präsentiert.

Das beheizte Freibad ist überragend!!!

Viktoria and her staff are incredible. Chez Luis makes amazing food. The hotel is clean , comfortable and beautiful. The hot springs are perfect. I can't wait to return.

De loin mon adresse préférés parmi les 7 hôtels choisis pour notre périple de 10 jours en Islande. Accueil tout simplement formidable, personnel souriant et d'une gentillesse!!! Chambres propres, confortables!
Le plus: évidemment les bains chauds naturels, la piscine au milieu de nulle part, les habitations des sorciers.
Je recommande sans faute le buffet du soir, délicieux et très copieux. Bon c'est cher, comme tout repas en Islande, mais rapport qualité-prix tout à fait correct!
Bref, on a TOUT adoré!
