Toller Campingplatz in Island. Alleine die Anfahrt ist schon ein Abenteuer für sich! Wenn man erst mal dort angekommen ist, was ca. 30Minuten dauert, ist es dort wunderschön. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Jeden z najpiękniej położonych kempingów na których byłem. Do tego droga dojazdowa i czarodziejski wodospad na miejscu. Kuchnia w jaskini. Wszystko to składa się na niezapomniane przeżycia, a o to chodzi w podróżowaniu????????????

We had a fantastic afternoon and evening at Thakgil. We understood the road to and from would be gravel, and our 2wd camper van did just fine.
The views and hiking trails were unreal. Clean facilities, fun intimate cave dining hall.
Some of the best pictures of our entire trip to Iceland. Definitely worth the short trek off the beaten path.

We spent 1 night for 2 people we paid 3600ISK. The most amazing place we stayed in Island. It's worth it we are just in the middle of the mountains. There is a cut cave were you have table and you can eat, hidden from the bad weather.
The showers are clogged and dirty. There are only 2. It is asked 200 ISK for the toilets.
Overall, a wonderful experience, recommend it.

It was a pleasant trek, this is a valley that is surround by the greeny mountain. There are several trails you can choose depends on the time you can take. Blue trail is the easy one but with all the view of the valley. You can take the yellow route if the weather is good and you have 2-3 hours at least to enjoy the lovely place. I feel it, recommend you to feel it too.

Wunderschön gelegener Campingplatz. Allein die Anfahrt durch das Tal ist den Weg wert. Es gibt keine Küche oder Aufenthaltsraum aber in einer kleinen Höhle kann man wohl sitzen und auch kochen. Wir haben diese jedoch nicht genutzt. Im Servicehaus gibt es einen großen Raum mit Toiletten und Waschbecken für alle. Nebenan Duschen. Außerhalb Abwaschmöglichkeiten. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

I went there 1h before sunset and the road is really dangerous if you’re not careful enough
So I highly recommend 4x4.
And when I finally arrive I didn’t find anyone and it was snowy and dark
Apparently they were “closed for the season”
There was no warning in the road about this nor here at google maps.

This is unprofessional and not expected, I put my life in danger to get there!!

Thankfully I make it back to vik and warned 3 cars on my way back, good thing they didn’t reach the camp like me.

Ten camping to…. Jedno z najlepszych miejsc w jakich byłam. NIESAMOWITE PRZEŻYCIE.
Trasa piękna… trzeba uwazac, bez 4x4 pewnie cieżko, ale campervany także dawały radę ;)
2400 nok za osobę - drogo, ale warto!!!!
Kuchnia w jaskini
Łazienki i wc - dużo, czyste i meeeega ciepłe pomieszczenia!
Dużo przestrzeni.

Our favorite camping spot by far! Very remote, quiet and well equipped. Wish we could stay longer and do all the trails around.

The best place that we had for seeing the northern lights.
The service was amazing, Adam was one of the kindest persons that we have met here.

Very recommended (although the 30 min drive with a privet car to the camping area).

很棒的露營區，有廁所很乾淨，還有一個小瀑布，附近非常優美，因該是最容易到達的世外桃源，就算沒有露營也有小木屋，就算沒有住宿也可以來拍拍瀑布跟奇特的景觀，從1號路開進來大約40分鐘，路況不是很好建議4x4的車。

I would highly reccomend for 4x4 cars to get there only. It was little advanture to get there by off road, but place is so so nice. We did plane stay in our campervan but decided to stay in hut and it was so comfy and warm night. The guy at the reception is so nice and friendly.

The location is perfect, so remote, waking up in the morning felt so amazing. We even saw Aurora Borealis which was the highlight ????
The campsite is clean and nice.

Must visit campsite in Iceland. The drive there is not for the faint-hearted but totally worth it! Lovely clean toilets and bathrooms. Delightful cave to eat. And what a view to wake up to!

Krásné místo uprostřed zelených kopců, poblíž je vodopád nebo možnost treku po žluté, což jsme nakonec nešli. Krásná společenská místnost v jeskyni.
Cesta do kempu je po nezpevněné cestě, takže je to místy adrenalin, ale normální auto to zvládne, jen to trvá déle. Doporučuji nejezdit za tmy.
Místo za to opravdu stojí.

Przemiła obsługa, niesamowite widoki i miejsce. Łazienki i prysznice czyste i z ciepła woda, ale bez luksusów. Jest miejsce do umycia naczyń, a w jaskini zrobiona prowizoryczna kuchnia (ławki, stoły i miejsce na grilla). Dojazd bardzo trudny, nie wybierałabym się autem bez podwyższonego powodzia, droga jest bardzo wyboista, ale widoki cudowne.

Super séjour au camping de pakgil!
La route est accessible aux véhicules non 4x4 (nous avons un campervan caddy de camp easy)

Les aménagements du camping sont super, il y a une petite grotte cosy pour le dîner ainsi qu’un coin vaisselle abrité.
Les douches chaudes sont incluses dans le prix (4600kr pour 2), mais il n’y en a que 2 et on peut vite faire la queue en cas d’affluence.

Le camping est point de départ de plusieurs belles rando (autrement pas d’intérêt d’y aller) bien fléchées a faire pas beau temps.

L’accueil est très chaleureux et plein de bons conseils (sur la météo ou les itinéraires de balades)

El camping es precioso, en medio de un valle. Tienes una cueva en la que puedes comer al aire libre (hay osea hacer barbacoa). Las cabañas están bien para lo que es. Hay 3 rutas que puedes hacer de diferentes dificultades y duración. Yo hice la morada (15km y 750m de desnivel), y es increíble, puedes ver el glaciar. El servicio es muy bueno y el dueño es muy majo.

El sitio es encantador, el camino para llegar es de unos 20m por una carretera de gravilla en bastante mal estado, como si fuese una FRoad.
El sitio es mágico, rodeado de montañas y vistas únicas. El chico que lo lleva es muy simpático el cual señaliza las rutas de montaña de la zona. Nos costó 2300ISK

Ein außerordentliches Tal das tief beeindruckt. Campingplatz ist mit WC, Dusche und Infopoint ausgestattet. Außerdem gibt es dort kleine Ferienhäuser. Aber über allem steht diese Lage mit ausgewiesenen Wanderwegen die unglaubliche Eindrücke vermitteln. Vorher Einkaufen was man braucht, das gibt's dort nicht versteht sich.

Such a breathtaking location! We happened to be here during a storm, and unfortunately even though you are surrounded by the hills, the wind and rain was still very brutal, but we would have experienced this wherever we stayed I am sure. The facilities are pretty clean and the stalls are more private than other campsites we went to, which was wonderful.
