We have stayed here two other times and when we left we said we hope we get to come back yet again. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in the Cinque Terre. The rooms, quiet, relaxed elegance, terrace and hosts can't be beat. Gian knows exactly what customers need and the tone/approach are helpful and friendly while giving guests their space.

My fiancé and I stayed in La Mala for the first two nights of our 2 week tour of Italy. This was the perfect place to unwind after a long day of flights and trains. We were met at the train station with a smile and an umbrella and guided to the front door of La Mala. I am very grateful for this added service, because it is difficult to find places in Cinque Terre when you've only just arrived and not accustomed to the town.

The room was spacious and had a wonderful view of the town. The bed was comfortable and the windows were great for a cross breeze at night. Getting in and out during our stay was very easy and efficient.

Probably the cherry on top was the private balcony that La Mala has on the back of the property. Truly an experience you will not find elsewhere. I wish it had been warmer but we made the best of it and enjoyed wine on the balcony while the sunset. Highly recommend.

Excellent location and fantastic view. Host is friendly and prompt. Even helped me to carry my luggages up the slope!

Our stay at La Malà was excellent. Climbing the winding stairs of Vernazza, viewing the castle from our room, waking to bells in the morning and enjoying incredible views of the coast from the terrace. Our room was clean, modern and comfortable. La Malà is a very unique guest house.

Superb experience at La Mala! I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Everything was great. Gian met us at the top of the village and helped bringing our luggage to the room. As we were walking down, he was telling us some history of the village and gave us some great recommendations to what to do and how to get around Cinque Terre. He was also very responsive over WhatsApp, and helped with booking restaurant reservations, boat tour, and transportation back to our car (btw, don't drive there like we did, just take the train). Stay at room 31. Gorgeous views of the ocean, specious, clean and welcoming. We watched the sunrise from the patio, and had a bottle of wine watching the sunset. La Mala is central to Vernazza, and very close to the beach and many of the restaurants the village has to offer. All in all it's a real hidden gem. Even though the village can get extremely busy (as it's the most beautiful our the five - in our opinion), the room and patio offered a quiet space to get away from the craziness and recharge. so go book it now, really.

Very charming place, the terrasse overlooking the sea has a breathtaking view and the best sunset. Room was very clean and we had a nice view of the castle, a glimpse of the sea and the village !

The owner Gian Is such a nice man, he came to meet us at the train station to help with the bags and show us the way to the property,
Vernassa is a bit of a maze of stairs and tiny alleys so we we happy to have him guide us :-)

We will definitely come back !

Wonderful location, gorgeous views, and perfect room that had everything we needed to enjoy a coffee in the morning, or a bottle of wine in the evening.

Fantastic experience! The climb is worth it - the proprietors are very helpful getting you settled from the train station. Our room was absolutely fantastic - one of the highlights of our month in Italy.

B&B delizioso che deriva da una ristrutturazione minimalista ed elegante di una tipica casa ligure.
Sole 4 stanze a cui non manca nulla. Con in aggiunta la terrazza a picco sul mare delle Cinque Terre ai disposizione degli ospiti.
E poi la gentilezza dei padroni di casa che man mano che si avvicina la tua vacanza ti mandano e-mail in cui illustrano le cose che puoi fare a Vernazza (produttori di vino, locali, camminate, ecc.) e Giambattista che addirittura ti viene ad aspettare in stazione e ti aiuta a portare i bagagli. Lo stesso poi quando te ne vai.
Non ha spazi per la colazione che viene offerta in alcuni locali di Vernazza. Consiglio di optare per il Blue Marlin sia per la simpatia del titolare che per la qualità e la varietà dell'offerta.
