It is set in a quieter part of the city but still only 20 mins walk from the Marina and 10 minute walk from the main shopping district.
The food and drink in the restaurant is sound but the choice is a little limited for younger guests. However they are happy to adapt dishes a little.
In summary, i'd say it is one of the best hotels in Genoa for that price. With the biggest standout being the staff; all incredibly friendly which made the hotel feel warm and welcoming.
Don' t forget to buy a ticket for the elavator at the Old Bridge which will take you to Cieno department store and XX septembre main shopping street.
The staff at hotel Melia are outstanding, helpfull, polite, nothing you ask is too much as a guest they make you feel very special and wanna look after you in any possible way from reception to assistance with luggage, from breakfast to the bar/ restaurant.
A real Pleasure to be a guest at Hotel Melia.

Ottima la mano dello chef che ci ha deliziato con 6 piatti uno più buono dell'altro . Servizio curato ed attento. Bravi. Tornerò !
Zimmer war sauber und in sehr gutem Zustand. Geräumig. Levazza Maschine. Bad gross mit Dusche und Badewanne. Klima. Hat nichts gefehlt.
Zimmer war auch ruhig. Bett bequem.
Frühstück war in Ordnung. Für ein 5 Sterne Hotel vermissten wir aber frische Eierspeisen - zumindest wurde uns nichts angeboten.
Etwas schade, dass Personal in der Lobby nie grüsst, wenn man das Hotel betritt (mehrfach). Eine Kleinigkeit an sich.
Insgesamt schöner Aufenthalt. Preis- Leistung war sehr gut. Empfehlenswertes Hotel.

L’hotel perfetto esiste e si chiama Melià. Dall’inizio alla fine sono stato accolto e assecondato in ogni richiesta, sempre estrema professionalità e gentilezza da parte di tutto lo staff. Un’esperienza indimenticabile
On peut facilement accéder au centre ville même à pied.
Service de voiturier appréciable.
Chambres confortables préparées avant la nuit.
Petit déjeuner varié.
Le personnel était particulièrement agréable et disponible pour toute demande.
