This was new to me, and the painting did not disappoint. The way the outside light and cloud affects the painting brings it to life. If the Panorama is busy, use the cafe and wait so you can the spend all the time you need to absorb the details and wonder at this beautiful painting.

Wat een prachtige sensatie om dit bijzondere panorma te zien. De ilussie om het gevoel te hebben dat je echt buiten op een duintop staat en 360 graden om je heen kan kijken. Je zie het dorp scheveningen anno 1881. Het is een van de allerlaats overgebleven panorama's in de wereld en ook nog de oudste. In perfecte staat! Waar het vroeger soms reisde om in andere grote steden te laten zien is het nu enkel en alleen nog te zien in dit museum. Naas het panorama heeft het museum meerdere kleinere zalen waar exposities te zien zijn die gerealteerd zijn aan het panorama.

Heel indrukwekkend! Vonden het relatief veel geld om naar binnen te mogen, maar erg blij dat we het wel gedaan hebben. Had het niet willen missen. Wat een werk en wat een prachtig resultaat.

Amazing experience. The painting is absolutely incredible and the building has been beautifully decorated. There's commentary in different languages. The only negative part was the long wait, but definitely worth it.

Beautiful museum, I spent hours here taking in the art. The panorama was a stand out but there are many other beautiful pieces on display here.

별 기대를 하지 않고 다녀온 작은 미술관이었다
하지만 오랜 역사를 지니고 있는 미술관이었고
입구부터 멋있는 그림들이 전시되어 있어
기대가 되었다. 앞으로 가면 파노라마 전시실이 있다는 얘기를 들었는데 ‘뭐 그리 대단하려나‘하는 생각으로 갔다가 파노라마 전시실에 들어가는 순간
“우와” 하는 탄성이 터져나왔다
한국에 돌아오기 전에 다시 한 번 가봤으면 하는 마음이 들 정도로 멋진 경험이었다.
그림을 다 보고 오는 길에 안내해주시는 분께
힌국에서도 전시회가 열렸으면 좋겠다고 말씀드리고 돌아왔다

Al meerdere keren geweest. Maar je loopt die trap op naar boven en ..... je bent elke keer sprakeloos. Zo mooi!!! Echt geweldig mooi, genieten!

Schitterend! Het is een enorme illusie, het lijkt net of je inderdaad op de top van het duin staat en om je heen kijkt. Geweldig dat dit bewaard is gebleven.
Ik vind de entree wel aan de dure kant voor de tijd die je er doorbrengt. Cafe was prima in orde goede koffie.

Nice museum, bigger than I was expecting. Beside the beautiful panorama painting it also features many other works from the artist, his wife and some friends. Personally I wouldn't pay for a ticket to get in, but with the museumkaart I think it is worth it. The gift shop offers some really nice post cards.

Had a very pleasant visit to the museum. I honestly hadn’t had much expectations but was quite impressed by the atmosphere and paintings on display there. Especially the big panorama painting. That one honestly blew my mind on how huge it was and how well done it was. The museum in itself is quite small so if you don’t have much time it’s still doable in about 30 to 45 minutes. If you got more time then you can definitely get at least 1 and a half hours worth of experiences from there. Would definitely recommend if you have time.

Frankly this is unequalled in the world of painting. Its magnificence is absolutely breathtaking. You will find the panoramic painting/tableaux on the top floor and it's absolutely mesmerising! Highly recommended!!

This is a must see for anyone visiting The Hague. The museum is quite small, but has some great paintings depicting The Hague and Scheveningen during the 1800's. But of course, the Panorama painting, 360 degrees, is the real star and totally blew me away. Highly recommended!
