i stayed here during a time when their systems were completely down, 29th March to 2nd April, paid up to the 4th April and after twice being told by front desk managers I'd get a refund i am still dealing with this. They don't get back to you. I couldn't even use a key to access my room, no Wi-Fi and i was working. Promised 2 nights credit but I'm still trying to sort it out with what feels like zero help. This was most definitely the worst stay at a hotel I've ever had.
The Omni Champions Gate is a beautiful resort just off of I-4 south of Orlando and Disney. It has a golf course, several pools, conference and banquet facilities. We only had one night there but thoroughly enjoyed it.
Arrived on Sunday and everything was going well until Monday. My family was outside at the pool and I decided to ask for glasses at the front lobby. Unfortunately they ran out and I proceeded to go back to the pool area where I asked the pool associates. She goes “we ran out” while holding a pair in her hands…i understand the excitement but guest come FIRST. I went back to where my family was and I saw several associates with glasses. If I would’ve known the associates here were going to be like that then I would’ve stayed back home in Dallas to see the full totality of the eclipse or chosen a different resort.
My family and I recently had the unfortunate experience of encountering a mean receptionist during our stay at the Disney Resort. From the moment we approached the front desk, it was evident that the receptionist lacked the Disney magic we had come to expect.
Instead of a warm welcome, we were met with a cold and dismissive attitude. The receptionist seemed more interested in scrolling on their phone than assisting us with our inquiries.
Despite our attempts to engage in conversation and share our excitement for our stay, the receptionist remained aloof and uninterested. It was disheartening to see such a lack of enthusiasm from a staff member at the happiest place on earth.
This encounter put a damper on our entire Disney experience, as we had hoped for exceptional service throughout our stay. It's disappointing that even at a renowned resort like Disney, there are staff members who fail to embody the magic and spirit of the brand.
I hope that management takes this feedback seriously and implements measures to ensure that all guests receive the magical experience they deserve at the Disney Resort.
The soccer fields are nice, parking can be a challenge. Sport tournament parking closer to the field is $10 per day. If you try to self park at the hotel it is $30 per day. Over all nice real grass complex.
I was a hired as a wedding officiant for a wedding that was held there and the service and attention to detail was impeccable! The food was great and the servers, Rahsaun, Arturo, Paoula hands down the best! Highly recommend this hotel and the team of wedding coordinators!
My family and I got the day pass to enjoy the pools for my birthday yesterday. We had an absolute blast! Probably one of my best birthdays. My 2 y/o son was the happiest little guy ever and enjoyed the kids slide so much! Im so happy he was able to go on. We spent 5 hours in that area alone. The service was wonderful and prompt. Prices are what you would expect at a resort. The resort grounds were very well maintained. My husband and I agreed next time we go we will have to get ourselves a room and check out the area a bit more! So much better than crowded theme parks. Cant wait to go back.
Great place to stay with either family or as a couple. Beautiful resort lots of stuff to do surrounding but has an awesome heated pool ...lazy river ..hot tub area. Plenty of quality dining specifically zen. Service and food amazing. Xtra shout out to robert the manager as computers were down and he handled all that stress amazingly and had it still smooth sailing. Above and beyond
Villas are nice.. they've made some additions that are nice. we golfed and had a great time. staff is friendly. only thing I was disappointed in this time was the in room dining. food just wasn't good. had a chowder soup that was so fishy smelling I couldn't eat it. had a flatbread pizza that tasted like it was leftovers. the lasagna was good.
Here 2nd time for soccer tournament. The rooms are tiny, bathroom had mold everywhere. Service terrible at pool bar and Eagle’s Edge. Tried multiple times to call front desk with no answer. Were here last year (‘23) and it was not like that. It’s beautiful and there’s a lot to do at the resort but traffic getting to it & out of it was horrible. Not close to Disney and even further from Universal.
Power outage! All systems down! I worked in hotels for over a decade. I’ve never seen anything like this happen. Everything is down. BUT the entire staff are handling everything great! I can’t imagine what they’re having to go through. They haven’t missed a beat. Still smiling and so helpful. We were walked to our room anytime we needed to get in. The front desk woman who checked us in, can’t remember her name, but she went to law school I believe. She was incredible. I hope guests haven’t been too hard on the staff. It’s out of their control and they’re doing everything they can do! Bravo to all of you and your continued efforts to show everyone a great time still!
I have sent this letter several times with no response from Omni so I am posting it here: "Dear Management of Omni Resort Championsgate, I am writing to formally address the experience my family and I had during our last stay at your esteemed establishment from July 10th to July 14th, 2023. Regrettably, several incidents occurred that significantly impacted our stay, prompting me to bring them to your attention in the hope of resolution. Upon our arrival, we were initially assigned to the Sunset Lodge building and encountered challenges with room assignments, delays in room readiness, and a lack of adherence to our request for adjoining rooms. These issues disrupted the celebratory atmosphere we had hoped to create for my son's 7th birthday. Subsequent room changes, marred by delays and inconveniences, included the distressing discovery of a room affected by a sewage odor and another infested with bedbugs. The bedbug incident was particularly distressing, leading to multiple room changes, loss of personal belongings, and valid concerns for our health and safety. The resulting disruptions to our planned activities and the emotional toll on my family have left us deeply dissatisfied with our overall experience at Omni Resort Championsgate. Moreover, challenges with the amenities provided in the villas, such as broken kitchen fixtures and insufficient cookware, further detracted from our anticipated level of comfort and enjoyment. Additionally, discrepancies in the final billing for our stay have contributed to our disappointment. As loyal guests who frequently choose Omni Resort Championsgate for special occasions, we were surprised by the difficulties encountered during this visit. Our previous experiences have always been characterized by luxury accommodations and exceptional service, making this recent encounter all the more disheartening. Given the gravity of the issues faced during our stay, including the distress caused by the bedbug infestation and subsequent treatment, we were disappointed by the lack of fair and appropriate compensation provided by your management team. Despite multiple attempts to communicate and address these matters, we felt disregarded and disheartened by the manner in which our concerns were handled. To supplement this correspondence, I will be sharing relevant photos and videos to provide a comprehensive overview of our experience, which have been previously submitted but seemingly overlooked. I am eager to work with you to resolve these concerns and restore our confidence in Omni Resort Championsgate. Thank you for your attention to this matter." The videos would not upload to google for this review so I attached a screen shot from one of the videos. In the videos I have, you can see them crawling around all over the furniture. The text message screen shot shows I had to be awake until 4AM on my son's birthday to receive all of our belongings (minus a couple items that they lost) that the Omni treated for bed bugs. We all slept in dirty swimming wear because all our clothes were removed for treatment as we relocated to a new room. I did not sleep at all since I had to stay up waiting for our clothes and all my party supplies, then once I had everything at 4am, go set up all the party supplies for my son for when he woke up. The photo of the leg shows just a portion of what the bed bugs did to our skin. Omni administration has refused to acknowledge and compensate for this. We reached out to them for months and now I am resorting to posting this letter and review online to share my experience. A previous Google review (Rosie) and her response from OMNI, we were told the same thing, that there was a negative report from a third party exterminator (whom they pay), that it must have been a mosquito even though we showed them full video of the bed bugs and in person. Those staff members that came that night all said it was bed bugs. My physician said it was bed bugs too.

A relaxing pool and water sports area. My kids enjoyed the pool, slide, and lazy river. Prices for food are ridiculously high. A good place to kick back.
I love coming to the Omni! I mentioned to the front desk when checking in that I was here for my birthday, and they came to surprise me with a sweet card and birthday treats the next day. I’ve been coming here for several years, and they never fail to make your stay feel special. Thank you Omni!◡̈
Stayed here for a week and at this point I am feeling a quiet a bit discriminated against for my sexual identity with the pool service here. Not once was I approached by a floor server at the pool for a refresher on drinks or food. I had to get up and go to the bar every single time on my own accord. I tested the waters everyday here, even on a Sunday, with barely folks at the pool I was not approached once. Very nice pools and rooms. As far as staff goes… absolutely trash. I’ll stick to the hard rock moving forward 1000%. Truly truly do not recommend staying at this place if you in the LGBT community. Just a bunch of white folks who get first class service and all others disregarded lol. God bless my pals
