Osteria romana top! Sono andata a cena con gli amici in questo locale, devo dire la verità, dopo qualche minuto di attesa, ci hanno serviti. Ho scelto le polpette come antipasto, buonissime!!! E poi come primo amatriciana… anche questo piatto buono! Ho avuto modo di assaggiare la carbonara, buona anche questa, ma io ho preferito la la matriciana!!! Locale accogliente e top a Monti! Da provare !!!

Best food we had in Rome. Close to the Colleseum. Had lunch and luckily got in. Packed and great specials. Service was good. Definitely make reservations.

Ci siamo capitati per caso durante un giro a piedi della capitale. Avevamo i tempi stretti ma volevamo comunque gustare un’ottima cacio e pepe. Alla fine ho provato la loro gricia con pasta fatta in casa tipo bucatini (tonnarello) e le puntarelle, mio marito invece che ha mille allergie ha preso la coda alla vaccinara che era semplicemente deliziosa. Servizio preciso e puntuale, ma soprattutto velocissimo. Attenzione anche nei miei confronti che sono incinta. Ottima esperienza da ritornare!

I saw some criticism of service on reviews but I cannot fault it. They open at seven and there is (and deserves to be) a queue - which means they are a bit slammed to begin with but actually they get things done quickly and smoothly and cheerfully. The only difficulty is that they need you to order quickly, and that is hard if you are trying to process what is on the board and menu.
And then the food comes, and it is so good! Such a difference from the multitude of standard (tourist) restaurants around it. My favourite was the fettuccine with butter and ground anchovies - so much umami! The lamb offal and artichoke starter too. The chicory they have right now is sublime. Oxtail - delicious! The standard pastas are also excellent - all made with care. Everything on the menu is excellent - seven of us ate there every night for three nights and we must have tried it all.

Great Roman food and family atmosphere, I visited with my partner shortly after seeing the Colosseum. We were greeted warmly by staff that showed us to our table, we had amazing pasta dishes and two beers that came to a very affordable price. Would highly recommend for travellers as the staff are warm and friendly and all the Roman favourites are on the menu.

Authentieke plek met vriendelijke, hardwerkende, bediening. Lekker gegeten (vers en smaakvol). Het zat goed vol. We hadden geluk dat we nog een plekje kregen, daarna stonden mensen in de rij. We zouden zeker nog eens terug willen.

It's the second time we ate here and it was great, again ????

The staff is friendly, service is good, the vibe is nice as well and feels homey and authentic (seems like it's a family run place).

This place was hopping at ten pm on Easter Monday.

I ordered off their board of specials. The house wine was great. My burrata raviolo with tomato and cod sauce was tasty and also something I wouldn’t have normally found at a restaurant in Germany so i was very happy to try it. The portion to price ratio is great. I spent 20 on a plate of pasta, a bottle of water, and a very generous glass of red.

Would definitely go back.

Went to rome try to enjoy the city , but not much enjoyable with people around the world, one thing that I found was pasta. Taverna romana is one of my enjoying places in the city.

Thank you for a giod pasta. Will be back anytime soon.

Fantastiskt ställe med härlig atmosfär och goda rätter. Kan varmt rekommendera deras oxsvans gryta magiskt. Avsluta med tirramisu så är kvällen i hamn. Väldigt prisvärt. Kan varmt rekommendera denna restaurang ♥️

La cuisine sans chichi et savoureuse de ce resto à Rome m'a donné l'envie d'y revenir. Un régal!
