MARTINE INN ^{* * *}

Great location just across the street from the ocean and easy walking to the south to aquarium and cannery row (5-10 mins), or to the north to lover's point (15-20 mins). For anyone seeking a charming bed-n-breakfast experience, this is a very good choice. All the decor / art work / furniture is from another era and adds to the experience. Hot breakfast and afternoon light happy hour (dining room overlooks the ocean) and parking included. Room had its own bathroom, though sink was in the room (not in the bathroom itself). Friendly service was great. Would definitely stay here again.

We were not expecting much as it was a very last minute trip but were BLOWN AWAY by our stay.

We were greeted with a tour of the house (super old and creaky house with a lot of character and antiques), a charcuterie board, and different choices of wine - complimentary, of course. Apparently this was a daily occurence in the afternoon. In the mornings, we had complimentary breakfast with the best service and an amazing ocean view.

Rooms are not big and look old but are cozy, comfy, and come with a fridge!

The staff are SO welcoming and the service is top-notch (we asked if they had a ironing board and they went out of their way to set one up for us right away!)

Location is also amazing; it is minutes away from the aquarium and "busy" area.

We thoroughly loved our stay and would recommend this place to anyone. If we were to ever visit Monterey again, we would definitely book the Martine Inn.
