Cooles Hotel, optimaler Standort.
In my view the best Hostel in New Orleans. the chain overall is the absolute best value for your buck. I have stayed at this and other properties, and the quality is top notch. very clean, modern, safe, secure. great atmosphere and great stays. last but not least the staff is incredible and super helpful. highly recommend this property.
I stayed in the hostel for about a week. I arrived in the hostel very tired from an 11 hour flight. The guy from the front desk had a rude attitude and talked to me without even looking at me. He has a careless vibe and I didn’t like that. I did see people checking in before 3 PM but he did not allow me. The hostel is ok, I’m used to staying in shared rooms but this time I had the worst experience of my life. The hostel is by Canal street and it was very noisy all night, so it was difficult to rest. Another thing is that they allow check in past midnight and there were people getting into the room at 2 or 3 PM. New Orleans is a vivid city, it is ok to go out and come back late, but the thing with people checking in after midnight is that they will need the lights on, they will probably want to shower and will also open and close the room door and the locker door many times making it impossible to sleep. It happened to me. It was one week of poor or no sleep. On top of all of this, there was this creepy lady in my room. She talked to herself loudly all the time, asking herself questions and answering her questions. In the last day of my stay in Hi New Orleans she got upset because she was not finding her phone, so she started slamming the locker and room doors. She was getting in and out of the room all the time and had her clothing thrown in a trash bag. I felt scared and unsafe. It was like I was sleeping with someone under drugs. She also talked while sleeping. She had very weird conversations with herself. Loudly. I made all efforts to not be judgmental and treated her well and she did treat me well, but the thing with the door slamming scared me, so I left a bit earlier than I would. I would not recommend this hostel if you are traveling alone.
Nestled in the heart of the vibrant city of New Orleans, my stay at the HiNew was an experience I won't ever forget. I was greeted with warmth and beyond par hospitality
The hostel's eclectic decor and lively atmosphere immediately captured the spirit of New Orleans. The accommodations were very comfortable and cozy, providing everything I needed for a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring the city. What truly made my stay memorable was the hostel's prime location. Situated just steps away from iconic attractions like Bourbon Street and the French Quarter, I was able to immerse myself in the vibrant nightlife and soak up the soulful rhythms of jazz that echoed through the streets.
Overall, New Orleans was a memorable trip which I will cherish forever. I would definitely recommend HI New to everyone.
Shared a private suite. Had a good experience except that the queen bed was abit squeaky on one side. There was also free breakfast, though it was nothing special.
Rien à redire, très propre, on avait un peu d'appréhension d'aller dans une auberge de jeunesse ms c'était top !
On avait une chambre individuelle pour 4 personnes.
This was a great hostel! The location is really convenient, most places in the French Quarter that we wanted to visit. The rooms were clean, and comfortable. The individual bathrooms were really well maintained too. I would really recommend this hostel for solo travellers on a budget.
It was a very good place, It was my first experience in a hostel and it was incredible, It was very clean, the staff was friendly and the place was cozy and organized. And all this for a fraction of the price, I recommend and will be my go to place when I'm in New Orleans and the breakfast is free
Trust me now, and believe me later! This place? A hidden gem out in plan view. Don't miss such an awesome experience. Fat Tuesday and Ash Wednesday was amazing. The staff were great! Thank you all. P.S. Shout to security. Be safe. To all... Have a great life!
Loved this hostel in New Orleans. I feel it’s at a great spot to get to the happening areas by bus or Lyft. There are also places to walk closer by for food. They will let you store your bag in a secured storage area if you arrive early. I stayed in a 6 bunk bed room. There were lockers to put my luggage (I would suggest bringing your own lock). Community bathroom shower was right across from our room and it’s individual to where you have privacy. There’s also a bar at the basement that’s pretty cool. As a solo traveler, I felt very safe and the guests staying were also very respectful and kind. Great place to mingle.
This place was surprisingly wonderful. I was honestly a little concerned when I booked a place here as I have stayed in a hostel before and it was not the cleanest. However the bathrooms were spotless and the front common room was very well kept. The free breakfast is a little bit on the simple side but still lovely. The service was excellent when I checked in and the private lockers were perfect. Beds were well made and were actually pretty comfortable. Would stay here again if I come back.
Fantastic hostel with friendly staff, excellent location right on transit, and very clean facilities. We stayed in a private room and it was surprisingly nice. Would recommend.
