Die Heritage Lodge befindet sich auf einer drei Hektar großen, bewaldeten Insel. Ha'buharo Island ist ruhig und weit entfernt von anderen Inseln, die Touristen beherbergen, und beherbergt Safari-Zelte und zwei Cottages, die mitten im Grünen liegen. Sie sind sauber, gut ausgestattet, blicken auf den Wasserspiegel, sind umweltfreundlich und werden von Vogelgezwitscher beschallt. Das Restaurant, in dem die berühmten Krebse aus dem See auf der Speisekarte stehen, ist gemütlich. Die Lodge ist von Rutinda aus in etwa 30 Minuten mit dem Speedboot und 90 Minuten mit dem Kanu zu erreichen.

My husband and I recently stayed at Heritage Lodge and fell in love with Lake Bunyonyi. Steven and Dorcas and the rest of the hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is on an island and the hotel manager met us at the mainland to take us on a relaxing boat ride to the hotel. The entire stay was incredibly calm and peaceful - our room had a balcony with gorgeous views of the lake. It can get chilly at night so each night we enjoyed drinking a beer around the warm fire pit. We also enjoyed the boat tour offered around the islands, where we were able to see many wild animals - including a zebra, waterbuck, and many species of birds - and learn about the local culture. Highly recommend staying at Heritage!!

We, 4 women, spend a night here while visiting Lake Bunyonyi in Uganda. The boatride was already so relaxing. What a beautiful lake with so many small islands. Then we were welcomed by the friendly manager Stephen. Our rooms, cottages with a verandah were having 2 double comfortable beds and a spacy bathroom with rainshower. Sitting at your verandah gives you the opportunity to spot the many beautiful birds and you a have great view at the lake. The food was delicious. We enjoyed the campfire in the evening. Lovely Island to walk around. So peacefull if you need a break from your hectic life this is the place to be. Definitely want to return for a longer stay and do some more birdsspotting. The most amazing place on Lake Bunyonyi.
We were greeted by Steve who is the hotel manager. The nicest person you’d ever meet who is highly accommodating and takes all your needs into account. The food was amazing and Dorcas was a lovely host as well. We did some amazing activities like canoeing, climbing adventures, and visiting many islands around the lake.
It’s the best place for when you want to relax and become one with nature. Surrounded by beautiful water and waking up to the sounds of the birds. I cannot recommend it enough!
Thank you for making it a memorable experience. I can’t wait to come back!

Prachtige locatie, uitzicht vanuit cottage is fantastisch. Cottage is eenvoudig maar voorzien van badkamer en toilet.
