Restaurant in einer unauffälligen Straße im Herzen von Lyon, das die besten Produkte der Region anbietet.
Das vor zehn Jahren gegründete Atelier des Augustins hat sich und uns ein schönes Geschenk gemacht, indem es in diesem beliebten Teil der Presqu'île seine Mauern vergrößert und einen Michelin-Stern erkocht hat. Das Restaurant bewahrt die Spuren und Steine der Vergangenheit, orientiert sich aber an einem zeitgenössischen Design und bietet einen neuen Rahmen für die Küche des Küchenchefs Nicolas Guiloton. Ein Küchenchef, der die besten regionalen Produkte, maximal 200 km von Lyon entfernt, in den Vordergrund stellt. Kurze Wege, mit einem Kräutergarten in Sainte-Irénée (Lyon 5), für eine lebendige Küche, die aus überraschenden Kombinationen und schönen Entdeckungen besteht. Ein Atelier, das sich einer anderen Dimension öffnet.

Le menu surprise nous emmène dans un voyage gustatif du début à la fin. Que ce soit par la qualité de la cuisine, que par le charme du lieu ou de la gentillesse des employés, tout est parfait !

The staff could not find a booking and claimed it was lost in a “changeover of the booking system”. They said they were booked out and could not find a table.
Our party was myself and my male partner from Australia and our two guests were a young married Australian couple, of Asian heritage. Restaurants in France have from time to time been accused of discrimination. I hope this was not the case (we could see a table for four in the middle of the restaurant empty).
We were also unable to find any other tables in a couple of restaurants near our hotel and ended up having a drink and snacks at a bar.
A thoroughly disappointing experience on our last night in Lyon.
The restaurant also had the gall to send me a thank you email this morning - “We thank you for your visit and hope that you had an excellent time at the Augustins workshop.”
Disappointing. Book online at your peril.
