Accueil attentif et souriant dans ce lieu historique restauré avec beaucoup de goût. |Une vue magnifique sur le chevet de la prieuriale, les chambres donnent sur un parc avec des arbres très anciens. Chambres meublées avec quelques meubles anciens, salles de bain de bonne taille, fonctionnelles,, bon Wifi. Petit déjeuner agréable. Outre sa prieurale et son grand orgue historique, la petite ville de Souvigny possède de nombreuses maisons anciennes et si vous avez une heure de libre ne pas manquer de visiter le musée situé dans les bâtiments conventuels et le jardin reconstitué avec ses parterres de plantes médicinales. La région possède de belles choses à découvrir et vaut mieux qu'une halte rapide sur la route des vacances. Nous y reviendrons avec plaisir

Superbe endroit de caractère, avec un accueil particulièrement attentionné de Paula qui se met en quatre pour satisfaire sa clientèle. Nous gardons un excellent souvenir de notre séjour et espérons pouvoir y retourner dès que l'occasion se présentera.

The location is full of history so this place is a perfect place to stay yo explore. The hostess, Paula warm and welcoming, the bedroom, comfortable, clean with large ensure. Breakfast fresh and tasty. Will definately stay again. Thankyou !

Le bâtiment est superbe, très bien restauré, avec de beaux matériaux . Beau parc, avec des arbres plus que centenaires (tilleuls d'environ 400 ans), très bel endroit. Les chambres sont très spacieuses, très confortables, avec beaucoup e goût, un petit plus une bouilloire. Très bon accueil de Paula. Attention au lundi jour férié pour les restaurants de Souvigny.

Just back from a superb one night stay at La Porterie in Souvigny, which exceeded all expectations: the village and the B&B. We were on our way to Calais from Languedoc, and this made a perfect stop at just under halfway. The village is amazing. The church adjacent to the B&B is recommended, particularly in the late afternoon, if you are lucky enough to see the sun shine through the stained glass windows. Check-in was easy with a warm welcome from Paula. Our room, in what must be a renovated medieval house, was well equipped and very comfortable. Breakfast was served at a time to suit us and was delicious. There are restaurants within walking distance, we booked Sphere Plaisir in advance via Facebook messages and were not disappointed with that either! Hoping to return to La Porterie and Sphere Plaisir when we next visit Languedoc! Thank you Paula.

Tolle Unterkunft in einem schönen Dorf. Sehr freundlich. Der Unterhalt der Anlage ist immens. Nicht ganz alles ist mehr so im Schuss. Aber schön gibt es Menschen, die sich darum kümmern. Es war ingesamt ein hübscher und empfehlenswerter Aufenthalt

Bâtiment historique magnifique, notre chambre de taille moyenne, toute en longueur, petit déjeuner français minimal. Mais bon rapport qualité prix.

C’est un lieu plein de charme avec des extérieurs qui sont magnifique. Nous avons été très bien accueillis de notre arrivée jusqu’à notre départ. Nous ne sommes restés qu’une nuit, mais nous avons apprécié notre séjour.
Nous avions une chambre, avec vu sur le jardin, qui était très charmante, avec une belle salle de bain. Le wifi est gratuit.
Le petit-déjeuner est très copieux.
Je vous recommande d’aller séjourner dans ce lieu magnifique !
Nous reviendrons séjourner à La Porterie !

So happy to recommend La Porterie, a magnificent building with an excellent bed and breakfast inside. The rooms are lovely with thoughtful touches, comfortable beds and beautifully appointed bathrooms. We particularly enjoyed the locally made tisane, so much so that we bought some to take home. Paula looked after us very well, we’re looking forward to a return visit.
