Das Paradies muss man sich verdienen, sagt man? Der Beweis dafür ist die Oliveraie des Escavalins! Im Herzen eines 40 Hektar großen Anwesens mit etwa 2000 Olivenbäumen und Trüffelfeldern, die ökologisch beweidet werden (die pensionierten Schafe und Milchziegen sind in der Tat nie weit entfernt), haben Géraldine und Mark dieses schöne provenzalische Landhaus mit unglaublichem Geschmack renoviert. Die Unterkunft, die maximal 7 Personen beherbergen kann (zwei große Schlafzimmer und ein Bergzimmer in einem Alkoven), befindet sich auf der oberen Ebene.

Ein Hotel in der Nähe finden
Our hosts, Gerry and Mark were incredibly welcoming, even to our children and dogs! The kids loved it (14-18) - plenty for them to explore - terraces, cliffs and a cave into the hill. We had thought they might get bored and head into the village. Luckily they really liked the location as the village is a bit of a trek. And they didn't have their bikes (see disastrous journey above).
The village of Belgentier is charming - and the restaurant we ate in (the Moulin) one of the best I have been to for a while. We definitely plan to come back for a longer stay! Thankyou Gerry and Mark!
Le Domaine des Escavalins est vraiment splendide. En pleine nature, entouré d'oliviers, hors du temps et avec une vue magnifique.
Depuis le village, le chemin jusqu'au domaine est un peu long (chemin non-goudronné sur 3km) mais le dépaysement est total. Difficile à décrire tant qu'on ne l'a pas vécu. Je recommande chaudement.
I try to put it in words. But it's all about being there. What I can promise is, you will be spoiled with views,smells,taste and hospitality. What Gerry and Mark built over twenty years is just great .We spent two weeks on the Domaine with our three Girls. We felt very welcome,connected,home.Had the Most wonderful time, exploring the olives,the surroundings and meeting the sheep. It is exceptional! From sun climbing up the Hills to starry nights. The scenery is even more beautiful than you can Imagine, the gite ist more comfy than you' d expect ( at the end of the world). Go there, If you have the Chance to!
