Der Kleine Futé hatte eine gute Nase, als sich sein Weg mit dem dieser beiden Weinliebhaber, Floris und Victoria Lemstra, kreuzte. Château Canet ist das Ergebnis ihrer Begegnung. Floris arbeitete damals im Burgunderweinhandel in Beaune und Victoria in den Weinkellern von Meursault. Die Kombination aus echter Leidenschaft, einer nachhaltigen Bewirtschaftung der Weinberge, aber auch einem ton- und kalkhaltigen Terroir, einem Keller mit moderner Ausstattung und Weinen, die in Fässern in ehemaligen Ställen reifen, kündigt eine Selbstverständlichkeit an: Die Weine des Weinguts wurden mehrfach ausgezeichnet. Neben der Mehrheit der Syrah-Trauben hat auch der Chardonnay seinen festen Platz auf dem Weingut. Die traditionellen Rebsorten Roussanne und Bourboulenc, die die Grundlage der weißen Minervois bilden, wetteifern mit den Syrah-Assemblagen (Roussanne und Bourboulenc) um die Gunst der Weinliebhaber. Zu entdecken ist das große Potenzial der Cuvée "Les Evangiles", die in Eichenfässern aus Burgund ausgebaut wird. Neben den Weinen des Weinguts finden Sie hier auch Produkte aus der Region: Olivenöle, Tapenaden, Marmeladen, Honig... Durchreisende werden die thematischen Entdeckungswochenenden wie Wein & Gastronomie, Wein & Trüffel, Wein & Weinlese, Wein & Wein mit praktischen Workshops zu schätzen wissen.

Victoria and the rest of the team at Canet were a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process and exceeded our (and our guests’s) expectations during the event itself. The phrase ‘best wedding ever’ has been a common one amongst our friends and family. We couldn’t have been happier with our decision to get married at Château Canet and look forward to visiting again in the future.
The stunning and rural grounds make a beautiful setting, with so many areas to hold different parts of the day, it feels like you have access to many venues rather than one!
One of the main things that makes Chateau Canet stand out is the hospitality & support of Victoria and her team - from the detailed yet relaxed approach to planning (giving us as the couple the opportunity to have things exactly as we would like) to making our guests feel completely at home during their stay, and helping them with anything they needed.
Location wise, it's extremely convenient to travel from Carcassonne airport yet feels completely secluded once there.
We made memories here with friends & family we will never forget and wouldn't have changed a thing - if you're looking to host a unique wedding weekend, we can't recommend Chateau Canet enough!
The venue is beautiful, the wine is fantastic, and Victoria and her team are absolute legends. We recently had our wedding here and every single one of our guests remarked that it was the best wedding that they had ever been to. Obviously the location and the weather played a huge part in their enjoyment, but quite frankly, the location and weather would mean little if it weren't for the efforts of Victoria and her team. Nothing was too much trouble, and everyone was warm, friendly, and welcoming.
Victoria's little black book of suppliers removed all the stress from arranging the DJ, florist, photographer, makeup artist, caterers, and the rest. The kitchen was kept stocked with their wonderful selection of wines ... La Blanquette was a particular favourite of our group. The gites are clean and comfortable. The surroundings are impeccably maintained. And even the freshly ground coffee was incredible. And of course, Nelson and Miles. Victoria's loyal canine companions who followed her everywhere. Beautiful, gentle dogs that all of our guests fell in love with.
The only bad thing about the venue is that I sometimes find myself planning a divorce so that I can plan another wedding here. But perhaps I'll settle for heading back here some day to celebrate an anniversary, or two.
Victoria and team, you rock. Thank you for an amazing three days. I truly hope I'll see you again.
