Great art and cool building and area.

Below is the description on the Gagosian website. But either I’m stupid and missed a couple of rooms, or this is a show comprising about nine works.
None of them had I seen before, so that was worth the visit. But unless you’re a collector or an aficionado it’s not worth a special trip.
One thing that caught my eye was the machining of the big Judd. If it were to be fabricated today it would be perfect. And I wonder whether that lack of human hand would make it work better, or not?

This group exhibition presents a conversation between postwar artists who challenged the conventions of form, material, and perception, highlighting the evolution of their practices. On view from April 2 through May 31, the installation gathers defining works by Walter De Maria, Lucio Fontana, Donald Judd, Piero Manzoni, Mario Merz, Pablo Picasso, Robert Rauschenberg, Richard Serra, and Andy Warhol.

These works reveal how repetition in art can redefine perceptual and formal possibilities, examining how artists have employed seriality, variation, and accumulation to destabilize conventional patterns of sight and thought. Picasso’s declaration “In my case, a picture is a sum of destructions” resonates with the thinking of Gilles Deleuze. Parallelling the philosopher’s inquiries into differentiation and iteration is Serra’s credo that “Repetition is the ritual of obsession.”

Picasso’s turn to sculpture, Judd’s modular and serial structures, Serra’s insistence on process and his relentless exploration of materiality, and De Maria’s durational works and sculptures demonstrate that repetition is never static, but rather a force of renewal. Fontana’s Concetto spaziale works are pierced, opening the picture plane up to infinite space, while Manzoni’s Achrome series negates color, representation, and allusion to emphasize material presence. Rauschenberg and Merz radically reconfigure everyday objects in their art, whereas Warhol’s multiplication of images displaces their received meanings in favor of new interpretations. Together they offer a timely reflection on the cyclical nature of artistic innovation and the shifting relationships between past and present.

Une charmante galerie avec cette belle salle remplie de lumière qui propose des expositions toujours très intéressantes .Situé en bas des champs Élysées en en sortant on peut se promener dans les jardins aux beaux jours .

Unfortunately, there was no exhibition open to the public bar one installation which was incredible.

Très belle espace, lieu intimiste et bien agencé.
Ne pas rester qu'au Rez de chaussée mais aller également à l'étage.
La galerie en elle même et lumineuse, charmante. J'y suis allée comme beaucoup pour l'exposition de Richard Avedon et je n'ai pas été déçue tant pas la qualité, que l'accueil ou l'expérience en elle-même. À refaire si possible.

Magnifique expo rétrospective du photographe Avedon. Pas de foule en ce samedi matin, les grands formats sont bien mis en valeur.

Très belle exposition de l'œuvre du photographe américain Richard Avedon.
Dépêchez-vous, ce n'est que jusqu'au 2 mars 2024 et l'entrée est gratuite. A voir absolument.

High class art gallery, perfectly designed

Une superbe galerie d’exposition à Paris ! J’ai visité l’exposition de Damien Hirst. Les œuvres étaient vraiment fascinantes et j'ai passé de nombreuses heures à les regarder et à les apprécier. La galerie elle-même était également très agréable, avec une belle atmosphère et une présentation soignée des œuvres.

En plus de l'exposition de Damien Hirst, j'ai également apprécié les autres expositions présentées dans la galerie. Il y avait une grande variété d'œuvres, allant de la peinture à la sculpture en passant par la photographie et les arts visuels. J'ai particulièrement aimé la façon dont les œuvres étaient présentées et la façon dont elles étaient mises en valeur dans l'espace de la galerie.

En résumé, je recommande vivement la galerie Gagosian à tous ceux qui sont intéressés par l'art contemporain. L'exposition de Damien Hirst en valait vraiment la peine, et j'ai hâte de voir ce que la galerie proposera dans le futur.
