To be completely honest, I wasn't very happy with the stay. The staff was nice and helpful, the beds were good and the location is perfect. But except for this, I have some points that were not as good. Firstly, I had told the hotel we were coming to celebrate my daughters birthday, I had mentioned this twice, and the hotel had reconfirmed this. Still there was no sign of this at all, no small birthday card or surprise in the room, as would be expected at a 4 star hotel. The walls were paper thin and both nights we were woken up by our 'neighbours' coming back from dinner and we could hear everything they said (they might have been a bit loud, but still.) There was no body lotion or conditioner in our room as would be expected at a 4 star hotel, we had to ask for it. We got small bottles that you could tell had been refilled many times before and the paper front on them looked somewhat mouldy on some. The room seemed quite 'worn out' and in need for an update and the sauna/spa was payable, which wasn't mentioned anywhere when we booked!! (This was the big draw for us when we booked this specific hotel) So this was disappointing. We got one waterbottle in the room on arrival, however it wasn't replenished for our second night. Also the room was extremely warm our first night and we opened the window and didn't know why, until we found out that the heater had been on more than 30 degrees celcius in the bathroom.
Amazing boutique stile hotel minutes from Notre-Dame. Hotel staff are amazing and rooms very clean and comfortable. Location is excellent and pretty much within walking distance of all top attractions in Paris. Highly recommend and I will definitely return.
My 11 night stay was the highlight of my solo visit to Paris at age 84! You graciously gave me a very good rate for room and breakfast. Service was impeccable, desk persons friendly and helpful, breakfast was plentiful. My ONLY complaint is that the shower is hard to understand and very awkward.Perhaps an instruction card near it would help?
Je suis très satisfait du rapport qualité prix de ce charmant Hôtel Jeu de Paume. L emplacement, le cadre, l accueil la chambre sans oublier le petit déjeuner. Merci à toute l'équipe.
A very quiet, beautiful, stay in Paris. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. The morning breakfast saw us through the day. We will be staying here again when we return to Paris.
Although this is the only hotel in Paris where I stay each year, I see that the rooms are tired and need maintenance and redecorating. The rooms are stuck in the 1990’s and small maintenance is not being done. The public areas of the hotel are 4 stars but the rooms are 3 stars at best. I have discussed my observations/concerns with the hotel reception staff and they took notes they said they would pass to the Management. This is a wonderful hotel and the staff there are like friends, but the rooms are not worth the price at this time. My observations are primarily from several stays in room 102. Thank you, Christopher Jarvie
I know Paris/Europe in general is known for a king bed being separated into two twin but my wife and I don’t like that. There was an always a gap snd a few Tim’s I fell through it. Other than that, a perfect stay!!!
We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was amazing and we will most definitely be back!
