Great church, very ornate and impeccable detailed. Super impressive facade. A must visit for the architecture and art! Hours suck though, check times before going!

Fica a 4 minutos a pé, saindo da Cathédrale Notre-Dame, em 290m de distância. Entrada gratuita. É dedicada a um santo bretão também chamado Malo. A construção desta igreja, considerada pelos historiadores da arte como uma joia da arte gótica extravagante, começou em 1437.
Possui um famoso portal com 5 alpendres decorados com magníficas portas de madeira talhada que datam do Renascimento. A igreja tem um mobiliário interessante: uma extravagante escadaria gótica, uma belíssima caixa de órgão renascentista, bem como um arco de glória e confessionários barrocos do século XVIII.

What a beautiful church. It is the height of what is known as flamboyant gothic architecture. The stonework lace on the facade seems impossibly delicate. The richness of the carving is astonishing. The interior is just as impressive. A pure delight of gothic architecture and engineering brilliance.

Très jolie Église tant de l’intérieur que de l’extérieur. On apprécie également sa place pour déjeuner ou prendre un café. Son emplacement central permet de facilement l’ajouter à un itinéraire de découvertes à travers Rouen.

Eglise majestueuse avec un très beau Christ en croix au dessus de l'autel et des beaux luminaires en forme de clochers.
Par contre le reste de l'église n'a pas beaucoup d'intérêt et les chapelles latérales sont un peu en bazar, et avec du matériel entreposé et des fleurs fanées...

Beautiful church quite similar to the cathedral but smaller. The architecture is unique, detailed and impressive. The church itself is set in an area surrounded by beautiful Tudor-type buildings with cafes, restaurants and independent shops.
It is in a fairly quiet part of the city centre.
Not sure how often one gain entry.
It is such a beauty to meander through the streets nearby.

The Place is the most authentic time machine, ever. And the heart of the historic Old Rouen.
St. Maclou Catholic Church itself an underrated gem - because everyone focuses on the Cathedral - but those who are architecture conscious a real treat, among other remarkable buildings in Place Barthélémy!
Recommended Must Go place and heritage!
