Belle chambre pas chère et bien situé ????

Despite being less than 24 hrs after the free cancellation deadline (7 days before stay), they would not show compassion for the hospitalization of a family member (reason for trip cancellation) and return any of my full 3 night stay. They did not respond to my request for at least a credit for another stay. Alternatively, they could of refunded at least two nights since I was not past the 7 day cancellation window for the later two nights.

The reason why I’m giving this hotel only two stars is because of their decoration. I was very shocked as soon as I got in to check in and see that they had an indigenous headdress in their wall. I also noticed that they have « tribal » patterns at the entrance and on throw pillows in the room. I tried to find information on why they chose to use a culture as decor online but couldn’t find anything about it. To me, indigenous person, it read as terrible cultural appropriation. Do better.

À notre arrivée, nous avons constaté que le réfrigérateur dans notre chambre ne fonctionnait pas. Nous avons demandé à changer de chambre car nous avions des aliments périssables. Finalement, ils ont remplacé le réfrigérateur par celui d'un autre chambre déjà froid. Plus tard, nous avons remarqué que la prise murale derrière le réfrigérateur s'éteignait lorsque l'interrupteur éteignait les lumières de la pièce. Nous avons dû débrancher chaque lumière individuellement. Enfin prêts à dormir, nous avons réalisé que le réfrigérateur produisait beaucoup de bruit, rendant impossible de dormir dans la même pièce. Nous avons été contraints de déplacer le réfrigérateur dans la salle de bain pour le reste du séjour, malgré le fait que la salle de bain était minuscule. Chaque nuit, nous étions réveillés tôt le matin par les bruits des occupants de la chambre au-dessus de la nôtre. Cela s'est reproduit les deux nuits, vers 6h30-7h00 par les activités des personnes au-dessus, suivies vers 8h-8h30 par le passage de la femme de ménage, rendant le sommeil impossible. Il est évident que l'isolation phonique laisse à désirer. Niveau propreté, le cabaret sous la cafetière était plein de cerne de café, comme s'il n'avait pas été lavé depuis longtemps. Pas de souci de propreté pour le reste. Un autre hic niveau litterie, il n'y avait pas de couvre-duvet, c'etait littéralement deux draps autour du duvet. Pour le drap de contour, c'etait un drap plat seulement.

Upon our arrival, we found that the refrigerator in our room was not working. We requested a room change as we had perishable food items. Eventually, they replaced the refrigerator with one from another room that was already cold. Later, we noticed that the wall plug behind the refrigerator turned off when the light switch in the room was turned off. We had to unplug each light individually. Finally, ready to sleep, we realized that the refrigerator was making a lot of noise, making it impossible to sleep in the same room. We had to move the refrigerator to the bathroom for the remainder of our stay, despite the bathroom being tiny. Each night, we were awakened early in the morning by the noise from the occupants in the room above ours. This happened both nights, around 6:30-7:00 due to the activities above, followed by the housekeeping passing by around 8:00-8:30, making sleep impossible. It is evident that the sound insulation is lacking. As for cleanliness, the tray under the coffee maker was full of coffee stains, as if it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. No cleanliness issues elsewhere. Another bedding issue was the lack of a duvet cover; it was literally two sheets around the duvet. For the bottom sheet, it was just a flat sheet.
