In Davis gibt es sehr viele asiatische Restaurants. Dieses befindet sich im Stadtzentrum, in einem charmanten Raum im Stil kleiner thailändischer Holzhäuser, mit Innenhof, Terrasse, Grünflächen und Blumen, einem gemütlichen Raum und einer Bar. Hier trifft man viele Studenten und kann es sich gut gehen lassen. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und effizient. Das Mittagsmenü ist perfekt: viel Auswahl, Frische, traditionelle thailändische Gerichte, die alle gleich gut schmecken, eine gepflegte Präsentation... Nur gute Punkte! Am Abend finden regelmäßig Veranstaltungen statt. Jeden Dienstag ist Quizabend, mittwochs finden manchmal Open-Mic-Abende statt, donnerstags und samstags werden Konzerte lokaler Gruppen angeboten... Kurzum, ein Volltreffer, sowohl für die Atmosphäre als auch für den Gaumen!
The last 3 times we have visited the food has been a horrible. I don't know if it was sold or the chefs need to be replaced but it's not worth going to any longer.
The noodles are overcooked, bland and broken the satay is very overcooked and tough and the fried rice is not even fried or properly mixed. It was mushy, waaayyyy underflavored and the meat was not even marinaded.
I wish it would go back to the way it was but that's not going to happen. I'm afraid it's far too expensive to justify such bad food.
So goodbye Sophia's! There are far too many good restaurants in Davis to visit your establishment again.
If I could have I would have gone back tonight and RETURNED this food and gotten my money back.
