Beautiful location, great employees and is not too expensive! I love it. Probably the best Hostel I have been to!

Great hostel for its price and location! Staff checking in was very nice and helpful. Has a kitchen downstairs to cook, and small fridges to put food, which was great. Has lockers downstairs for safekeeping and smaller lockers in the room. Room was a bit chilly but not a huge deal, only thing I didn't like was that the bathroom is in a different room. But also not that big of a deal. Would definitely recommend.

Un hostel en una perfecta ubicación, que comunica con diferentes calles que te llevan a los lugares más importantes de la ciudad.
El entorno es increíble. El personal es muy amable y atento. Las instalaciones están limpias y son muy acogedoras (las vistas increíbles).
Puedes adquirir un desayuno buffet bastante completo (6,90€ nos costó por persona).

Great location with an amazing view from the room I slept in and from the common rooms. Facilities were very clean and there were nice closeable shower booths with wee benches you can put your stuff on. Friendly staff and great playlist playing in the common room (the Smiths, Mac DeMarco, Men I Trust... ????)

Estuvo todo de maravillas, excepto que nos topamos con un grupo de 30 adolescentes. Las áreas comunes no están preparadas para esto. Fue muy molesto, todas las personas que estábamos antes de que este grupo llegue nos tuvimos que ir porque no se podía hablar de los gritos. (Por esto no pongo 5 estrellas)
La ubicación es excelente, los baños muy limpios y cómodos, las vistas fabulosas, y el personal muy amable. Las habitaciones bien, les agregaría cortinas a las camas y faltan lockers que funcionen.
El desayuno simple pero bien por el precio.

Super locatie midden in het centrum! Meest behulpzame, vriendelijke gastheer. Was de kers op de taart/wafel van ons weekendje Gent. Enorme aanrader!

Rent a locker : if u arrive prior to check in time of 15h, u could rent a locker (very large) for 0.50 euro or less (depending on size)/hour. Very convenient, easy to use.
Rooms:
- stayed in a mixed bedroom : DID NOT have a privacy curtain.
- lockers: small, could barely fit my farpoint40 backpack, but it did fit (you can google the dimensions). The lock was sturdy (seemed safe). Bring your own lock.
Communal bathrooms: they were pretty clean, but showers seemed to skimp a bit on water quantity... its fine to shower, might just a bit longer to rinse out the soap. Non detachable shower head.
Entry: cellphone was required to unlock doors to enter hostel and your room.
Good location otherwise. Nice staff.

Toffe plaats als je wilt uitgaan in Gent en in Gent wilt slapen. Wij gingen naar de viernulvier (vooruit) (10 minuten wandelen)

Schitterende locatie, onwijs handig systeem electronisch de deuren open door middel van je telefoon. Alles ziet er mooi en schoon uit, op de intense kraak trap in de gang en de wat luidruchtige ventilatie schachten in de slaap kamer vind ik dit echt een uitstekend hostel. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Minha experiência foi ótima, o hostel é lindo, a cidade maravilhosa, todo o staff do hostel é maravilhoso também! Além disso, esqueci um lado do meu airpod no hostel e o staff não mediu esforços para me ajudar a recuperar ele, melhor experiência que já tive em hostel! <3

Just went to start Walking Tour by Legends. Hostel Uppelink has great storage/luggage facility (very cheap, 0.5 euros per hour for big luggage). Totally safe lockers.

They have the best luggage storage system for reasonable prices even for non guests. They even had a bathroom next to the locker.I had a great layover day trip in Ghent before my train to another city in the evening thanks to these guys.

Great hostel right in the center of Ghent.
I stayed one night with a friend and the first thing that surprised us is that is right in the St. Michael's bridge, a few meters from the center.
When you are in the lounge or cafeteria you can see the view is beautiful, the same view that you get in most of the rooms.
The girls that worked there are amazingly kind and pay lots of attention to detail. They were kind enough to offer advice of places to check out and food recommendations.
Everything is so cleaned and actually they just reformed most of the hotel 2 weeks ago. You could tell the rooms were brand new.
When I come back to get I'll go to Uppelink for sure :D

Was here for a study visit. Newly renovated rooms, clean showers and toilets, fully equipped kitchen. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The views from the windows are the best possible. Breakfasts are good. the only things i would point out are the very loud stairs (but then again, they are historic) and the strange system of bedsheets (no blanket covers).

The location is SO amazing. You will not be disappointed with the view. So many restaurants to chose from near by as well. The rooms are quite nice and quite clean. The bathrooms are definitely some of the cleanest hostel bathrooms i’ve used! They do let you make your own bed which I prefer, but it’s all personal preference. The lockers are a bit small and would only fit a regular size school backpack. Not to mention the staff was incredibly nice and super easy to talk to! Would definitely recommend this hostel for a nice stay in Gent:)

Can’t recommend this hostel enough! Out of all the hostels I’ve visited within 3 weeks this one felt the most inviting and cozy making it super comfortable to connect with people in my room or hanging out in the lobby. They have all the amenities you could need - gorgeous kitchen with all the supplies and more. Very clean space with the friendliest staff that play a big part in the welcoming atmosphere. If you’re looking for an affordable stay in a magical city where you can make great friends along the way - Hostel Uppelink is the spot!

The hostel is located in the city center offering a wonderful view of the city from its rooms. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I totally enjoyed my time there.

Auberge exceptionnelle. Localisation en plein cœur historique de la ville avec une vue de carte postale (réellement ! J'avais reçu une carte avec la même vue il y a 20 ans). Les espaces communs au rez-de-chaussée, salon, salle à manger et cuisine ont beaucoup de charme et se prêtent facilement aux discussions. L'équipe est accueillante et toujours prête à conseiller les hôtes. Plusieurs tours en groupe et dégustations (de bières) proposés. Les dortoirs sont corrects et conformes au confort attendu dans une auberge de jeunesse (literie fine, prise électrique et lampe individuelle pour chaque lit, casiers, douches et toilettes à l'étage). Bonne sécurité avec une porte à clé magnétique jouxtant la réception et une consigne à bagages fermée à clé.
