Absolutely 10/10 for location! If you’re a very light sleeper through you may struggle with a room above the busy road. It didn’t really bother us though.

Staff were friendly and offered a warm welcome with a glass of port.

Room was really big, we’ve done a lot of city breaks where you can barely move so it was nice to have some space.

Have already recommended the hotel to others.

Accommodation was great. As we visited in the winter the room was a little cold so the staff gave us an extra heater. The breakfasts were nice. Location is great for most of the tourist spots by the river.

I recommend and I would stay here again. I like how understanding and flexible the management was and accommodated request for a two-hour earlier check in due to our long trip and also since it was off peak season and the room was already ready. The receptionist was friendly, courteous, informative. The location is central and buses stop right in front. It is about 10-min walk from Sao Bento train and 12-min walk to the Caves Calem - this is the nearest warehouse after the bridge on the other side of the river. Walkable to tourist areas. Heater works, as it was late November and rainy season. Hot shower worked, too. They provided complimentary water daily. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Room was clean. I am very particular about noise and while you could hear occasional baggage strolling, it was quiet inside the room and at night, despite central location. Good-smelling lotion, shampoo and soap. There is a $12 travel tax that is not included in your booking.

We stayed here for a 4 night stay in Porto. The location of the hotel is excellent. It’s a 10 min walk up into the town. A 10 min walk over to the Gaia, the other side of the river and a 30 second walk to the river.

Upon arrival we were greeted with a glass of port and a Pasteis de Nata – which was nice touch.

We were shown to our room. We were not happy with the room, it was quite small and we didn’t feel that that was the kind of room that we booked. My husband went to have a chat with reception and it was agreed that we could come back to reception and the manager would come and talk to us. The manager was Marcella, and she was a pleasure to deal with. She showed us three rooms that were available and allowed us to pick. Change was made and we were all happy. The room was spotless and was the bathroom and comfy beds.

We didn’t eat at the hotel so I cannot comment on the breakfast, but Marcella and her team were great to deal with and the customer service was excellent.

Price quality ratio is not the most favourable. Many little issues here and there. But people were friendly, breakfast very nice (but ask for real coffee! They hide it) and location excellent. Recommendation: Take a room on the upper floors with a view on the bridge.

Hotel urbano muy cómodo. Bien ubicado y personal súper amable. Nada mas llegar nos dijeron que nos hacían un upgrade y nos dieron la habitación del ático. Además nos dejaron entrar a las 8.30h de la mañana en lugar de las 15h. Fueron súper amables. La habitación súper bonita y tranquila. Está en el centro pero no hay ruidos. El desayuno está muy bien. Para repetir.
