Rarely do you find a hotel that you can't find anything wrong with it. Hampton Inn Hammond is one of those rare finds. This was the best hotel I've stayed at in a very long time. To start with, I can not say enough great things about the staff! They were kind, friendly and genuinely cared that I had a great stay at the hotel. I had a question and they found the answer quickly and then checked back in later to make sure everything was OK. The room was comfortable, well laid out and clean. The bed was a tad bit firmer than I generally like but that is a personal preference. I slept very well every night. I did not hear any road noise and the room was pretty dark. I definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again when I'm in the area. 5+++ stars

Overall, this hotel is very nice and visually clean. However, I am so SO tired of encountering sticky hotel room floors. Both the bathroom tile and the carpet were disgustingly sticky. I put my socks back on immediately after showering, and I felt guilty letting my 1.5 year old play on the floor. It's not just the gross physical sensation that bothers me; it's knowing the cleaner that is leaving behind this sticky residue is full of harmful chemicals. I watched the housekeepers spray cleaner all over the floor, give it a quick rub with a dry mop and walk away. That's not good, even if you're not concerned about these "cleaning" chemicals that are proven to cause cancer and disrupt our endocrine systems. You know what? If you shake up water, vinegar and tea tree oil, you have a natural cleaning solution that disinfects surfaces without leaving behind a gross sticky residue. It also doesn't poison people. Imagine that.

Rooms are clean, security is ok, service is good, good lighting in the parking lot, decent breakfast

The room and bed were very comfortable.
Some attention to detail could be addressed. There were three jutting out metal pieces on the wall that may at some time held a large heavy mirror but were left attached there.
Getting to the mini fridge was interesting. The cabinet door opened to the left and immediately in it the mini fridge opened to the right. Just a little maze to get into it. But the small freezer section was definitely freezing!
The ice machine on the floor didn't work but did on the other floors.
There is a $15 incidentals fee put on the card when we checked in. When they email the bill we will see if it was removed.
I would definitely stay here again

As a Hilton Member I was extremely impressed with all facets of the hotel. The Checkin process was superb. Either Jean or Victoria was on the desk and very efficient and dedicated. Superb representation of the company. The room was the cleanest we have seen in a long time. Outstanding facility and staff. Breakfast was well laced put and staffed. All in all, a great place that we will return to on our many trips through Louisiana. Outstanding!

If you’re traveling with a baby and animals, I highly recommend this place! We have a 10 month old and I am terrified to put him on any floor. However, this place was so spotless. They went beyond my expectations! Thank you so much for having us! -the Luna family

Our stay was pleasant. The staff was friendly, the location was good. It's right around the bend from a Walmart store, so if you are traveling and forgot anything you don't have to go far. There's food nearby. They have breakfast in the morning that's average.
The hotel itself is pretty quiet, it's pet friendly and our room was clean. The beds and pillows are rubbish, however. The mattresses were flat and hard, the beds were bouncy. Anytime we got up or turned over, it was like a trampoline. The pillows start out fluffy but instantly go flat. I honestly believe I would have gotten a better night's sleep on the floor. If they upgraded the beds and pillows this would be a 5 star rating. Yes, sleep and comfort is that important. Especially when you drive in from a 13 hour road trip, and go back out on the same.

I drove all the way from Texas and arrived around 1am, too find out they canceled my room because other people wanted to check in and they didn't have anymore rooms available, yeah I was upset but what made me more upset was that the front desk lady (RACHEL) was very rude saying what is the manager supposed to do about your room being canceled when I asked
speak to a manager then she goes to say how am I going to get you a room pull out a hat or something. I'm a gold member and I felt very disrespected I suggest the Hilton get rid of that trailer trash front desk lady and get somebody more professional.

Hotel was in great shape and staff was helpful. Bfast was decent and there was a Cracker Barrel within walking distance.
A word of warning, though: *do not* park your car in the far back of the parking lot! Two vehicles were broken into the night we stayed there, and they had been parked in the furthest part of the lot behind the Hampton Inn. The staff were stunned that this had happened and assured us that the hotel was in a safe area. Hopefully this was just a solitary event.

I was traveling and got into town around 1am. Thankfully they had a room available! I was able to get checked in within a few minutes. The room was very nice (even the bathroom). The hotel was quiet for the time I was there. I would absolutely recommend!

Love it here been here a few times ... the staff is great both Ryan's are phenomenal and the ladies are always so friendly thank you for making this a good stay.

Bathroom hadn't been cleaned well or stocked with towels. Beds were full size not queen. Way too pricey for the quality of the room!!
