Absolutely amazing food! It was my first time being in Vientiane, Laos and this was essentially the only place that had me coming back consistently for the food. As a foreigner, it was pleasing to see that the establishment was very clean and clean water was served straight from the bottle. I came here everyday, and Pinot and his staff were extremely welcoming each time. Pinot is a very talented chef and can even customize any dish you'd like. He's passionate about quality ingredients and sources from Australia, Italy and Bangkok. I highly recommend the ball (a fried burrata with marinara sauce), the bruschetta, the mashed potatoes, pumpkin soup, scallop, pasta, pizza, tiramisu and chocolate cake! Honestly, everything on the menu is special and you can't go wrong with any choice. Surprisingly, this is the best authentic Italian food outside of Italy.
A must if you’re in Vientiane looking for truly good Italian cuisine, excellent for a last diner before you leave wonderful Laos. The owner, Pino, is a lovely person with tons of knowledge and stories on SE Asia.
Top notch restaurant, amazing food. I've come here for lunch and dinner on several occasions and I'm never disappointed. The pastas, pizza, sides, meats, etc. are all very tasty. The location is beautiful, one of the old houses of Vientiane, and the service is excellent. The owner is very engaging and very interesting to talk to - he's been in Laos for over two decades and has great stories. He also has an impressive gin collection. Would definitely recommend and love coming here, it's great.
One of the very few truly authentic foreign restaurants in Laos, where the owner takes care of you till you are content and had a heartful of meal.
If you are alone and don't have an arm and a leg to fish out of your wallet, you can simply go for a light lunch where the old colonial building awaits your visit.
Great restaurant, owner very nice man, fantastic reccomendation on the pasta. Also with the wine. Also was allowed to order a bottle of wine to take home. Will go back on my next visa run from Udon.
J’ai passé un bon moment merci de votre hospitalité, le repas il était excellent, je vous le conseille , je suis cuisinier des professions en retraite, c’est restaurant c’est une valeur sûre.
Started off badly - I followed two customers to a door but it was closed. The proprietor refused me entry and made me walk to the main entrance. The lasagne was ok. The creme brulee was excellent. All up a great experience.
Many visitors to Vientiane will agree that this is the finest restaurant in this wonderful city. Beautifully appointed in a colonial ... Indochine style ... villa .... The food is authentically Italian probably the because the owner is Italian but he has lived in Laos for 20 years and speaks perfect Laotian. The best collection of Italian wines in laos also awaits diners with a friendly and warm "Saibadee Service". Well worth checking out.
I really like the meat steak because it’s very soft and delicious. Then, the atmosphere is fantastic which is suitable for a dinner! Service is excellent but, only thing that why I give 4 stars due to the price is quite high. I think I will come here again in future.
First Italian restaurant where chefs think it’s okay to put raw crushed garlic over pizza ????????
