Stayed 2 nights in the cabin and it was amazing...only wish we could have stayed longer! Helga and Dagur were super to talk with! They communicated with us through email as we traveled to Siglufjörður since it was already snowing and they wanted to make sure we were safe; very friendly and outgoing. Dagur filled the hot tub for us the first night so we could relax in the thermal water while it was lightly snowing and we REALLY enjoyed the outdoor shower...invigorating! Thank you both for the wonderful stay and memories.

Casa muy limpia y cómoda. Habitaciones agradables, la nuestra con bonita vista a la iglesia. El desayuno muy completo y rico y en agradable conversación con otros huéspedes y los anfitriones que están listos a informarte de todo. Cuenta con un pequeño oficce con nevera y microondas para conservar y/o preparar comidas ligeras.

It was clean, easy check in and great host. This is a guest house with a community restroom and kitchen. Good for an overnight.

Nice, but very small rooms, got a cramped feelingabout it. Not too far from the town center up the hill, good walking distance.
Big minus: the fact that there are shared facilities was cleverly hidden on the online booking platforms we consulted, so we became aware of the fact only upon arrival. One bathroom/toilet for four rooms with no separate WC is a challenge in the morning. If we had been aware of the fact, we would surely have chosen alternative lodgings. To be fair, the bathroom itself was nice and spacious.
Plus, no lounge or other possibility to sit down and strech your legs outside your room. Unless you want to sit outside, which at ten degrees C in summer is less attractive than it sounds.

Beautiful little spot in the picturesque town of Siglufjordur. We had an amazing two-night stay with the very best hosts. Most comfortable bed in the world (no exaggeration!!) and if I could, I would give it 10 stars out of 5. Make sure you get directions to Skarðsdalsskógur from Helga. Such a beautiful and pretty spot for walking and just relaxing. We will definitely be back.

Gorgeous quaint wooden cabin overlooking the town. Host Helga was super friendly and kind. Put on the hot tub for me and even shared some of her lovely homemade goodie for breakfast. Very sweet.
The shower is outside the cabin (mine anyway) so rug up if winter. The hot tub was a lovely bonus. Thank you for such a lovely stay

Stunning little cabin in a quaint fishing village. We absolutely loved our stay! Beautiful setting within walking distance to everything. Very friendly owners were helpful in every way.
The room was warm and cozy when we arrived. The outdoor shower with the changing room was my favorite feature. Look forward to our next visit.

Wonderful stay at Herring House. Beautifully clean and comfortable. Helga is a fabulous host. Gorgeous view and centrally located. Recommend dinner at Moroccan Restaurant???????? Best coffee so far on our trip in Iceland found at Adalbakari.

We had a wonderful stay at the Herring House. The cabin is super cozy and well equipped. The bed was one of the most comfortable of our two weeks traveling around Iceland. We also enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor shower despite the weather! Dagur was a great host, highly recommended ????

Sightseeing sogar vom Zimmer aus. Wunderbare Kulisse. Blick vom Bett über den Fjord in die schneebedeckten Berge. Überwältigende Gastfreundschaft reichhaltiges Frühstück. Entspannung im Hotpot.

Sehr gemütliches Guesthouse in perfekter Lage, sehr freundliche Gastgeberin. Leider kein Extra-WC, so dass es bei Vollbelegung etwas knapp werden kann. Großzügige, gut ausgestattete Zimmer, funktionelle Teeküche.
