Treated the wife to a spa day here and she thoroughly enjoyed her time, as did I .

Hotel is immaculate and the staff were very polite and helpful.

The location of the hotel was perfect.

The room was a little small, but had everything you needed and was nice. However..... The walls could do with a little more insulation if you have noisy neighbours as we did if you get my drift....

I'd encourage anyone to have a visit and enjoy yourself.

Stunning hotel with a fine dining experience in their ‘Indigo’ restaurant. I didn’t experience the hotel, spa or chocolate factory but was fortunate enough to dine in the Indigo restaurant. The facade of the restaurant was stunning and there were meeters and greeters on duty to welcome you into their establishment. The interior decoration was exquisite and thoroughly modern but still embodying an intimate feel. Service was 100% and the food exquisitely prepared no wonder Indigo dining is regarded as one of Londons finest. I chose trout as a starter and delicious lamb as a main meal with a rhubarb desert. Don’t expect modest prices this is a top dining experience. Wines complimented the food perfectly. The host’s wife was given a delicious gift of honey produced in their own bee hives on the roof!! The location of the hotel is virtually adjacent to the Waldorf and behind Covent Garden. in the middle of theatre land so it’s a perfect location.

One Aldwych is amazing! We considered using a travel agent for our week-long trip to London but decided to use the concierge at our hotel instead. Stephan was perfectly detailed and hooked us up with the best tour guide we could have ever hoped for. She led us around the city for three straight days. We saw everything we wanted to, and more. We can't talk highly enough about One Aldwych and especially Dani. Her energy was invigorating. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and her knowledge was enlightening. She knew exactly where to stand to get the best view or photo. She knew exactly where to be to see the sights up close. We felt like we had a deep dive master's degree of London history at a college level in just three days. So very impressed and highly recommend! The hotel is in the absolute perfect location in central London between all the tourist attractions and surrounded by great restaurants in the theatre district. On one side of the building is The Lion King and the other is Mami Mia. Everything is within walking distance. The rooms are made up twice a day and the minibar is complementary; including snacks, drinks, and of course tea. This was very helpful to help keep us hydrated from our days of touring. The on site restaurant is perfect for breakfast, but there are also cute cafe's, coffee, and pastry shops on the same block too. The gym is quite large for a boutique hotel like this and is in the world-class spa and pool area located in the basement. The entire staff goes out of their way to make you feel right at home. They arraigned pickup and drop off to the airport for us so we never had to stress about anything. This is the place to stay in London!

Went for the Charlie and chocolate factory experience. Walked out of there stuffed. Like could not move from all the sugar, sweets, cakes. Service from the team was brilliant. Really welcoming, talking us through menu, never rushing you but always ready to get you set up with next dish. Would go again and really recommend it if you have kids, just expect them to be jumping up and down like a yo-yo with all that sugar. Think I did about 10 days intake in 1 hour ????

We stopped in one evening to enjoy the bar and have a night cap. The ambiance is inviting and uplifting. The ceilings are high and the couches are comfortable. We enjoyed some light snacks and a wonderful Hemingway Daiquiri. The service was exceptional. Highly recommend the bar and lounge. We will have to come back to stay on another visit.

Our family's one-night stay at One Aldwych this weekend exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we checked in until our departure, every experience was delightful. The food was nothing short of delicious, tempting us with every bite. The staff deserves a special mention for their exceptional service; they were not just amazing but super friendly and went out of their way to assist us in every possible aspect. Our room was a haven of comfort with a breathtaking view that added to the charm of our stay. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was incredibly relaxing, allowing us to unwind fully. We left with cherished memories and without a doubt, we highly recommend One Aldwych for anyone looking for an outstanding stay in central London.

We visited One Aldwych on 19th January at 3 PM to visit our daughter and her boyfriend who were staying there.

The doorman at the entrance seemed to have forgotten that it is his job to open the door and greet visitors.

He had a very nasty attitude problem and kept pulling faces. This happened several times during our visit.

Baffled we asked our daughter and her boyfriend and they said they had had the same experience.

It was interesting to note however that those that treated him with contempt and rudeness received a servile and grovelling service.

Could it, perhaps, be that for lower life forms" treat them mean keep them keen" is the only language they understand?

Given that we strive to be polite to doormen and hotel owners alike, is it up to us to modify our behaviour and treat these servants with the contempt they seem to respond to and reserve civilized behaviour for those that appreciate and deserve it?

Apart from your disturbed doorman, everyone else was very polite and made us feel welcome, from the two guys at reception to the bar staff.

However, as a first and last point of contact, to be treated with such rudeness at a hotel that charges nearly £700 per night is surely unacceptable, to put it mildly.
