Great Italian food at a reasonable price for the area! They specialize in meats and homemade pasta. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The atmosphere was relaxed. We never felt rushed with our meal.
Ristorante storico nel cuore di Cortina. Ambiente davvero caldo e gradevole, camerieri molto gentili e professionali. Piatti della tradizione eseguiti benissimo e con ottime materie prime. Ci tengo anche a precisare che le porzioni sono tutte molto abbondanti, il che è stata una gradevole sorpresa ormai abituato ai piatti striminziti dei rifugi sulle piste. Qui si mangia: tanto e bene. Consigliatissimo
Last night my son and a group of his friends went to the steak house, they ordered their steak after asking multiple times to order, eventually they got shown their steaks before getting cooking, the waiter signaling all 3 for 1800 which is 600g per steak .my son and his friends all got their steaks within different times one got his after 10 and the other after 40 minutes (both just ordered the steak, no appetiser) eventually when they asked for the check, the waiters gave it to them after 20 minutes, however when they overcharged each steak by 200g on the check they wrote each steak was 800g so total 2400, after we let the staff know, we had to wait 10 minutes and they would argue and complain while we tried to talk calmly and in an orderly fashion, and this would go on 4 more times; we wait 10 minutes and then they come, eventually they got their supervisor who got confused by what she was saying, after a while we just decided to pay the bill

We had a delicious lunch! Understood they use products from own farm and we kind of realized that, everything was fresh, tasty and high quality. Special thanks to GianLuca who served us, appreciated his enthusiasm and friendly, polite aproach.
In terms of atmosphere it was quite empty since we went there for early lunch and extra season.
Il locale più antico di Cortina, semplicemente delizioso. Personale superaccogliente, gentile e rapido. Cibo ottimo, dagli antipasti al dolce.

Da buon palermitano che ama mangiar bene, questo è l'unico ristorante dove ho mangiato 2 volte in un breve lasso di tempo. Fossi rimasto di più avrei sicuramente fatto un pranzo in più. Top!
Visited for lunch. Overall overpriced for the quality of the food. Would not come back.

A few options for vegetarians, but nothing very inspiring. 3 pieces of boiled cauliflower for €7. Beetroot ravioli were sweet and swimming in butter.
Maybe better luck with the meat dishes.
Our hotel recommended this place for local food. I so was looking forward to it but it appeared closed. Luckily we looked down the side street to find the real entrance. When we were seated, we noticed all of the other guests were Asian. I found this odd and asked about it. Turned out to be a tour group from Thailand. I was worried about our decision as we typically avoid restaurants on the tour circuit. We ordered a bottle of wine off their robust wine menu. A second American tour group was seated. Even more worried. The food arrived and it was fantastic. We can recommend the deer medallions with polenta (2nd best polenta of the trip) and the pasta filled with beet root and other goodies (it was amazing - sweet, savory, salty, etc., all at once). Good service and reasonable prices. Definitely would recommend this restaurant in spite of the tour groups.
Had a wonderful dinner here on Saturday night. The servers were kind. Food was very good and hearty. I enjoyed the beef, mushroom and polenta dish I had. The deer ragu was also good.
Parking was the only issue with the place, once that was handled we loved our experience there. The food was excellent, servers were courteous, friendly and multi-lingual.
Costs were very reasonable, especially compared to what I see happening in the USA where we come from, and comparable with what we experienced in Germany, Austria and Italy (Lake Garda, Venice).
It was fine. The ragú pasta dishes didn’t have flavor & the amount of meat in the meat dishes was very small. Better restaurants to go to in town. Wouldn’t return.
I nad such a delicious meal here. I got the amberjack carpaccio with super yummy dressing, then steak with raspberry sauce and an apple strudel with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Everything tasted amazing and I was super satisfied. Yum!
