The hotel’s beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but the surroundings are a mess. The little street leading to the hotel stinks of pee and poop, making it a challenge to even walk to the entrance without holding your nose. There’s poop and toilet paper lying around, and it doesn’t seem like anyone bothers to clean it up. They really should do a better job of keeping the area clean.

Шикарный отель. Персонал при встрече и заселении крайне любезно все объяснил и показал. Красивый холл и номера. Бутылка просеко как комплимент при заезде.

Très bel hôtel datant du 18 ème siècle situé dans le Cannaregio. Une façade donne sur un rio l'autre sur un jardin privatif où l'on peut prendre le petit déjeuner et se reposer. Décor chaleureux. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et très varié. Il y en a pour tous les goûts. Personnel très accueillant. Vraiment un excellent souvenir.

Absolutely beautiful ambiance of the place - very convenient location - walkable distance to every attraction you name it, but at the same time so quiet and peaceful - luxury amenities - delicious breakfast buffet - croissants with pistachio cream are the life changing experience!!!!! - Luca is very helpful and welcoming! Thank you for making my birthday experience one of the best moments of my life

The hotel is located in a narrow street, which is very common in Venice. It’s very charming. The staff are very nice. Free breakfast is great. The garden is nice as well. Overall very quiet but close to a main street so pretty close to restaurants and stores. We took the Alilaguna (shared water taxi) from the airport. Ticket was 15 Euro for one way. From the Alilaguna stop at Foundamente Nuevo to the hotel it was a 10 minutes walk. To get to the rail station we took the Vaporetto a couple of blocks away. Took a bit over 10 minutes ride.

Si vous cherchez le charme et le faste d’un palais renaissance fin 16 eme siècle dans un écrin de verdure ,vous serez enchanté de passer votre séjour au palais Abadessa !
Luca et son personnel discret vous réservent un accueil chaleureux,personnalisé et prévenant.
Les chambres spacieuses et salons au mobilier d’époque vous plonge dans le passé fastueux venicien.
Le petit déjeuner copieux et complet(pâtisseries,fruits,laitages,charcuteries,œufs,céréales,pains,jus …)dans de la belle vaisselle et couverts en argent.Rien ne manque à ce palais très bien situé pour rendre votre séjour inoubliable !
Un grand merci à Luca pour sa délicatesse et sa disponibilité !.

L'hôtel correspond parfaitement à la description qui en est faite, dans un ancien palace avec tout le charme des anciens palais vénitiens. De beaux lustres et de beaux meubles dans cet hôtel.
Le petit déjeuner est très complet, varié et abondant avec charcuteries, fromages, gâteaux (dont un excellent gâteau au chocolat), fruits préparés et j'en oublie encore.
Notre avion ayant été annulé suite à une grève des aéroports en Italie, nous avons réservé la chambre 21 qui était grande et donnait sur le canal puis la 16 donnant sur le jardin très agréable.
Les deux chambres étaient parfaites, propres, une literie très bonne.
Ce qui est à noter c'est le calme de l'hôtel avec un emplacement idéal pour visiter Venise : proche du Vaporetto Ca' d'Oro(à 3 minutes) et encore plus près d'une grande rue commerçante et animée l'Astra Da Nova.
Le personnel est accueillant et aux petits soins.
Tous nos remerciements au directeur qui nous a trouvé une chambre dans l'hôtel en attendant que nous puissions prendre un nouvel avion pour notre retour. Pour un prochain voyage Venise, nous retournerons sûrement dans cet hôtel sans chercher ailleurs.

Really enjoyed our time here. Lovely location off the busy, main strip. Helpful, friendly staff and beautiful accommodations. Be sure to ask about the water taxi to Murano, it was by far our favorite part of the trip.

Note: You’ll likely need to take stairs to your room, but they assist with luggage.

スイートを予約しました。しかし、チェックイン時に最初に案内された部屋はバルコニーのない部屋でした(笑)スタッフさんの勘違いだったのかな？(笑)
内装は最高でテンション上がりました。バルコニーからの景色も最高です。ミニバーだけ設置してほしかったです（広すぎて見つけれてないだけなら、すいません????）

Nice old quaint place. Classic room needs a walk up the narrow stairs- cute but tough for luggage etc. Service is exceptional. Garden outside is very nice and a bottle of complimentary prosesco is a nice gesture!

Ruined our stay in Venice. We booked 2 rooms for 4 people, paid and everything. Arrived and was told the hotel was overbooked. We had to separate to 2 different hotels and Imagine having to book last minute hotel in busy busy Venice …. The “manager” wouldn’t apologize or try to fix it by sending us to another hotel or offer any type of emotional compensation. Waited at least 1 hour for him to finish “cleaning the only available room”. Avoid this and go to another hotel.

The camera doesn't lie and Palazzo Abadessa did not disappoint and in fact exceeded our expectations. A beautiful hotel, retaining so many original features, it was a pleasure and privilege to stay here for seven glorious nights. It looked and felt very Venetian - silk-covered walls, antique furniture and a wealth of Murano glass. All the staff, especially Luca and Raja, were welcoming, helpful and seemed genuinely pleased to have us there.
The location is perfect - no more than 100m from the Grand Canal but in a very quiet spot, on a small canal. An oasis of calm in a busy city. How many hotels in Venice can boast a secluded garden? A real treat to have breakfast outdoors. The hotel is ideally situated for vaporetti stops - Ca d'Oro (3 mins walk) and Fondamente Nova (12 mins walk).
A two minute walk to Strada Nove gives you a huge choice of restaurants, shops, bars and within a 10 minute walk even more choice. Fondamente Misericordia was a delight with its string of restaurants and outdoor dining along one of the three main canals in Cannaregio.
Room 23 on the second floor was large and well-appointed with three windows and a nice seating area. Huge comfy bed too!
Good breakfasts, good coffee and quiet air conditioning. My husband and I were extremely sad to leave.
