Das Chedi ist das Lieblingshotel der Happy Few, die in Muscat Urlaub machen. Es ist ein außergewöhnliches Hotel, dessen Eleganz, ästhetische Identität und Zenit die Banalität des Strandes sofort vergessen lassen. Jeder Quadratmeter ist eine Lektion in arabisch-zeitgenössischer Dekoration, wie die Lobby mit ihren unzähligen Laternen, das Fitnessstudio, die Bibliothek und das Spa in griechischer Symbiose, die Restaurants und Bars mit zeitlosem Chic und die Zimmer und Suiten mit grafischen Linien. Wenn die Braseros rund um den 103 Meter langen Hauptpool in Flammen aufgehen, ist die Welt schön.

Positive - the hotel grounds are beautiful, rooms were quiet and comfortable, breakfast was good, and amenities were too. Amazing pool!
Can improve - general service was a bit lacking for a hotel of this quality and price. A few examples: (1) first night my wife notified the staff of a food intolerance and we were served food with that. (2) in “the restaurant” supposedly one of the best in Muscat, the food was okay - tagine and fish, but worst of all is we had asked for some gf bread and they just put cold plastic packets of bread on a plate. Not what you’d expect from a white tablecloth restaurant. (3) a few times we had asked for drinks - cocktails/coffees that were custom and almost every time they came out wrong the first time.
That said — we did notify management and they made it up to us the next night at dinner in the beach restaurant. The food there was excellent and would recommend it.
Overall - 4 stars, good stay and would stay again if we come back to Muscat but a few things to work on.
