Finca, die von einem landwirtschaftlichen Betrieb zu einem ökologischen Tourismusbetrieb umgewandelt wurde, verfügt über Zimmer mit atemberaubender Aussicht.
Jorge, ein Spezialist für Ornithologie, baute seine Finca 2005 um, um eine Ökotourismusaktivität zu entwickeln. Die Mitglieder der Gemeinde Dota erstellten dort einen Plan zur Erhaltung des Quetzals. Das Geld aus den Touren wird wieder in die Pflege der Anlage investiert. Auf dem Programm stehen Trekking in dem 80 ha großen Reservat, Vogelbeobachtung, Sonnenaufgang auf dem Cerro de la Muerte... Die großen Zimmer bieten einen atemberaubenden Ausblick und sind mit natürlichen Materialien eingerichtet. Im Speisesaal kann man auf eine Plattform gelangen, um Kolibris zu beobachten.

We joined the Quetzal Tour starting at 5:30 AM. To participate in this tour at this time, we needed to rent a car and stay overnight at the Paraiso Quetzal Lodge.
For the first hour, we patiently waited, but the Quetzal didn't appear. However, we had plenty to do, such as admiring the mini avocados tree, which is the main food of the Quetzal, playing with the guide's dog, seeing many fly catchers, and we never got bored. Afterwards, we moved to a different location and walked a few minutes along a trail. Finally, we encountered the Quetzal!! I'm in awe of the guide's knowledge and their ability to quickly spot the Quetzal. The Quetzal that emerged in the midst of the great nature was truly beautiful, and its beauty was so mesmerizing that it made us lose track of time. On the way back, we visited a person who owned precious Quetzal feathers and they showed them to us. It was truly the best tour of my life.
The lodge where we stayed was equipped with sufficient facilities for cold weather and was very comfortable. During dinner, we were able to enjoy Casado, a traditional Costa Rican dish. The seasoning of the trout was extremely delicious. The hummingbirds we could see in front of the dining hall were breathtakingly beautiful. It is definitely a five-star place with no complaints.
