Fantastic safari and experience!

We went on a 5 day safari through Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and Lake Manyara National Park with our guide Okul. The route allowed us to see as much as possible of Tanzania's wildlife and landscapes without being rushed. Okul was an amazing guide - incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We stayed in a mix of lodges and a camp (which was perfect type of accommodation in the Serengeti, with no fences, so we could hear a variety of animals at night).

We did a 4 day safari trip plus a one day Kilimanjaro trekking and we cannot be happier, the experience was simply amazing and Ibrahim and its team organised it perfectly. It has been even more than expected; food was ok, accomodations were perfect, car was great. I strongly reccomend travelling with them!

We had an amazing holiday with Afrishare - a combination of a 7 day Kilimajaro hike for myself and my 16 year old son, and then a 4 day safari in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater for the whole family after my wife and other son had flown out to join us. In all of it Afrishare organised everything perfectly, from the fundamentals of the hike and the safari through to all the interconnecting transfers. We made the decision to go with a local Tanzanian company rather than some big international tour operator, and do not regret that decision at all. Right from day one, Ibrahim and team were very responsive (do they ever sleep?!) answering my endless questions and tweaking the itinerary so it was exactly as we wanted. They then delivered.
The Kili hike was the 7 day Machame route. The team taking us up were great, had all the required kit, and looked after us well. It was hard going but we made it to the summit and have amazing memories and sense of achievement.
The safari in the Serengeti was amazing - we saw the big 5, including 46 lions in 2-3 days, and a cheetah and cubs a few metres away. Through it all our guide Kazi, was fantastic - really knowledgeable about the animals and conservation more widely, also good fun (which is important when you have 4 full days together!).

Afrishare provided us with a trip of a lifetime at a reasonable price. Our tour guide, Mosses, was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, a good driver, had good language skills, very friendly and a looked out for our safety at all times. Besides showing us the animals he provided cultural activities as well. I looked at SafariBookings because the site gave me the convenience of so many options -- all in one place. I got several quotes and worked with Afrishare to put my custom, private safari together. They were very flexible and offered a fair price. I took my son on what was - for us - a real 'bucket list' vacation: an 8-day safari to Kenya & Tanzania. From start to finish, Afrishare took care of everything. They were courteous, professional and flexible -- even making changes during our trip. Our drivers/guides (Robert in Kenya & Okuli in Tanzania) were everything we could have hoped for. They even taughts us a little Swahili and helped explain so many things about Africa beyond just the safari experience.
The game drives were simply amazing....from seeing hippos, zebras -- and literally being in the middle of tens of thousands of wildebeests during the Great Migration, this was a special trip indeed. I have fabulous photos of lions and elephants -- just a few feet from our safari vehicle! One day, there was a mix-up with lunch but Ibrahim and Okuli took us to a local African restaurant (no charge) and we got to eat like 'real Africans' -- it was an unplanned, but unforgettable experience. The Maasai Mara and the Serengeti were incredible experiences, but the smaller parks (Ngorongoro and Tarangire) were even more intimate and special with chances to see more animals closer than I'd thought possible. Note that the roads in the game reserves are all unpaved and can be extremely bumpy at times -- but that's part of the experience! Some of the days can be long! The accommodations were just as promised and very nice. The private experience was something that I previously would have pegged at twice the cost. You can check out other options, but my son and I were quite pleased with Afrishare. I strongly recommend them.

Our safari with Afrishare was nothing short of spectacular. I have done safaris in six other countries previously, and this one quickly rose to the top of my list. From customizing our itinerary to the bargain pricing, it was easy to choose. But we got so much out of it than we bargained for - comfortable accommodations, a top-notch guide (Rama!), and tons of animals (big 5 plus others). I gave my fiancé the 5-Day safari tour organized by Afrishare for his 30th birthday, and it was the best decision, we had the best time! Everything was very well organized, and the guides were really great! We had Francis in Kenya and Rama in Tanzania and we learned so much from both of them - thanks again!
The accommodations were safe, clean and in beautiful and convenient locations. I cannot eat gluten and it was not an issue at all, I still got really tasty meals everywhere!
We had to postpone the safari from the original dates due to health reasons but Ibrahim handled everything perfectly. He was always available to chat and help with any question/issue we had, so i always felt well taken care of.

Absolutely fantastic service and performance from Afrishare and the owner, Ibrahim, who replied to every one of our 60+ emails and customized all the elements of our trek and safari that we wanted.
We climbed Kilimanjaro with the 7 day Machame route. Despite our team member's luggage being lost by the airline, the Afrishare team went above and beyond and provided him with an entire climbing setup on a day's notice to help us continue with the trek.
Our guides were absolutely fantastic, Juma, Peter and Martin led our group very well, at an appropriate pace for the different fitness levels in the group and ensured that we could reach the summit comfortably. Cooks and support staff were fantastic, always reaching the day's campsite, setting up tents, and preparing food right on schedule.
Our 5 day safari was a great experience too. Moses, our driver-guide, was excellent and very experienced, answering every single one of our questions and providing explanations for everything we saw, and bringing us all around the Serengeti to ensure that we could see as many animals as we could. Rashidi, our cook, amazed us with dishes you never thought would be possible on a small charcoal flame (pizza from scratch with no oven in the middle of the Serengeti!). We camped for 3 nights and all the campsites were comfortable, well-chosen and overall a pleasure to stay at.

My friends and I hiked the Marangu Route (5 days) up Kilimanjaro through Afrishare and had a wonderful experience! The food was excellent, the accomodations were comfortable, and with the help of our experienced guides and a great team of porters, we made it to the summit. We felt safe and well-supported throughout our journey.

The director of Afrishare, Ibra Mkwizu, was a particularly stellar host who made our experience in Tanzania welcoming and stress-free. He coordinated every aspect of our hike, including transportation and lodging on either end. Ibra sent us a driver to pick us up from Arusha, hosted us at his own home for breakfast, personally worked with us to get every piece of gear we needed and advise us on what we should pack, gave us a place to safely store the rest of our luggage, and dropped us off with our crew to begin the hike. When we got off the trail, he again hosted us for a home-cooked lunch, provided us with a room to shower, and dropped us off at the airport. We never had to worry about logistics while Ibra was taking care of us.

In addition, Ibra acted as our logistics coordinator while we spent three weeks in Moshi and Arusha for a college geography course. He took care of everything — park fees, transportation, preparing host families for us to stay with, packing lunches for our days out in the field, and much more. Ibra traveled with us every day to make sure we had everything we needed to explore the Kilimanjaro region. He took on these responsibilities in addition to his normal work directing Afrishare, and did a wonderful job.

I would recommend Afrishare to anyone hoping to travel to Tanzania — for a Kilimanjaro hike, safari, or anything else!

We are a couple and we did a 5 days/4 nights Safari. It was a precious and unforgettable experience also thanks to our super guide Rama. We saw a lot of animals in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. They also allowed us to make a last minute switch from Lake Manyara to a cultural tour in Mto Wa Mbu and it totally worth it! All the accomodotion were nice and comfortable.

There was pleasant and informative communication before the trip. Once we arrived the pick up was arranged and we could start with our safari. The driver Atif we had knew a lot about the parks and the animals so we learned a lot. Besides that the parks are beautiful, we saw a lot of animals and the trip was great. Thank you!

We had a 4 day trip through Tarangire, Serengeti and NgorongoroCrater and we saw everything we wanted to see except the rhinos. Especially the lion on his hunt, the lionlady teaching her son how to hunt and the elefants bathing! The costumer service was so good especially our guide Mosses made the trip unforgettable with his funny and lovely wise.

Hi, we did a 4 day trip with Afrishare Trekking and Safaris. We were a couple and they manage double bedrooms for us and one 4×4 for only us during all the trip so no sharing.
All the tour was tremondous and our guide Atif Ghafoor was exceptionnal, a professional and humble guy.
In 4 days we did Tarangire (1 day), Serengetti (1 afternoon and forward morning), ngorongoro crater (1 day) and a cultural day which was very good.
The manager Ibrahim recommend me a 5 to 6 day tour and i think he was right because Serengetti need at least two days but unfortunately my time was short.
I definetly recommend Afrishare, because prices were very affordable in compare to others and The accomodations were very good (Ngare Lodge and Osupuko tented camp), clean with good food, hot water, wifi.
