I had the BEST time! Staying here and being part of the community was the highlight of our two week trip around Italy. The friendships will last a lifetime. Nadya at the front desk was absolutely amazing, friendly, and thorough when we checked in. She made sure to give us tips and recommendations around Rome that we fully used and valued. I'm so grateful for the memories made at the Beehive, thanks Linda for making such a safe and comfortable space to explore Rome and make friendships. Apparitivo every night was so fun! The staff were all very kind! ❤️ best hostel experience I've ever had!

DON’T BOOK HERE! 0/10 in customer service, if you arrive after 10 pm you lose your money and they will literally tell you that it is your problem and figure it out yourself. 0 sense of hospitality for being in the hospitality industry. (In case you book here and have a flight delay and get thrown to the streets like my case, I recommend the Mc Donald’s that is crossing Rome Termini)

Me hospedé en este hostel unos días y volveré al finalizar mi viaje. Está súper bien ubicado, a dos cuadras de Termini pero del lado más lindo. La atención de las chicas es re amable. Gabi is super cool. La habitación mixta de 6 está bien, tiene locker y percha con número, además cargador muy cerca de cada cama. Solo cambiaría la almohada. Los baños están completos, la cocina también. Tienen noches de aperitivos, lo que ayuda a socializar para quienes vamos solxs. Es un lugar tranquilo y cálido, espero tener buena experiencia al regresar.

The best hostel I’ve stayed at in Italy. Great common area with small events every night. Not a party hostel and seems to attract down to earth people. Quiet at night and easy to sleep.

My first ever hostel. I had no idea what to expect going in, but left very, very pleased. Service was incredible from start to finish! I arrived on a Saturday and left early Monday, so I was unable to partake in their famous bagels, but was able to snag some good breakfast items from surrounding cafes and even Termini.

I stayed in a private room, which was located just around the corner from the main building in a separate apartment block. You're given a key fob and keys which gets into the Beehive main building as well as the other apartment and given clear instructions on how to enter both.

I was very pleased with the library and main entertainment area of the hostel - very welcoming and inviting! Plenty of good books to read, games to play and even a guitar! Did not bother cooking or attempting to make anything while I was there.

Would definitely return if I'm back in the area.

One of the best hostels I've ever been too! Great spot, next to a train station that has a direct connection with an airport. Very clean, spacious and numerous bathrooms. I had a private room, it was very comfortable. But the most important thing are people working, staying and living there. Both hosts and guests are such beautiful people! Gonna miss you guys :( But I'm not saying goodbye, because I'm gonna be back soon :) :*

Had an amazing stay at The Beehive; wonderful staff, amazing location, clean rooms and lots of personal touches and character which is becoming so rare. Higyly recommended and will definitely stay there again when next in Rome.

The Beehive is a must-stay hostel in Rome! The staff are so nice and keep the rooms so clean. They are full of excellent recommendations for things to do, see, and eat. Regular low-pressure group activities are run by the volunteers who go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The home-made bagels are amazing! It is a bit of a walk from the most famous spots, but the Termini Station is very close. I loved this hostel and will definitely stay there again when I'm next in Rome!

Great hostel — even better people. I kept extending my stay here. It was the perfect place to explore the incredible city of Rome. Everyone of the staff seem so genuinely happy doing what they do and as a result create a wonderfully relaxing welcoming vibe. Special thanks to Gabby (and Yuli/Juli?!) who made the hostel feel like home :) Also, super clean and comfy beds!

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT stay here. 0 stars if possible. The hostel is filthy, bathrooms are disgusting and the staff is just as bad.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND JUST COME HERE. TRULY ONE OF THE BEST HOSTELS I HAVE EVER STAYED AT. CLEAN. FRIENDLY. WELL SITUATED IN TOWN.

We loved staying at the Beehive ( twin room). Very sociable set up to chat and share information in evening or over own breakfast in the small kitchen. Try the supper fresh Bagels. Early evening Pizza and wine was great to get everyone chatting. The little courtyard garden was a relaxing place to chill. Location convenient for A line metro and Termini station. Most Helpful hosts.

Pedí una habitación individual. Tenía lavatorio, escritorio, caja fuerte y perchero para ropa. Muchos enchufes y uno muy cerca de la cama. Es clave cuando uno está de viaje. Muy cómodo. El baño grande y espacioso, todo impecable. A la noche hay pizza libre. Todos muy amables y respondieron mis inquietudes por WhatsApp rapidamente. El último día deje el cuarto temprano y me tuvieron la valija hasta la tarde que me fui al aeropuerto. Queda a un paso de la Roma Termini, la ubicación es excelente y la calle donde está ubicada muy tranquila. Volvería.

Awesome hostel with great social events, the team were all very nice especially Gabby and Ryan who were really amazing and the hostel put on super fun events for everyone!!

Brilliant!! Very clean, very social, with drinks/cards every night in the common area (and free pizza monday-friday!!), it was super easy to meet other guests. Gabriela is so friendly and easy to chat with, and Linda is extremely helpful, communicating tips with you before you even arrive. The recommendations that they give were so good every time, and I appreciated that the female-only dorms had their own separate section of the hostel with a different entrance/bathrooms etc.. If I am ever back in Rome, I will definitely be staying here. Thank you :))

Whatever you do, do not pay cash for anything here. On my last night, I was surprised with a 40E “tab” for drinks I never had. I had been trying to request a receipt for days and one has still never been provided, but “their volunteers said so” and I was “obviously too drunk to remember.” This is allegedly not a party hostel, and yet they themselves claim they overserve their guests to the point of disorientation and blackout. Unfortunately, the staff knew my card was pickpocketed, so I was an easy target to rob again. I very intentionally do not overindulge as a solo female traveller to avoid situations just like this one.

Instead of just being humble and admitting to a simple human error (read the responses to reviews across booking platforms for more of the same), they actually told me they had asked a guest I’d had lunch and seen some sights with one day out of seven about my supposed heavy drinking habits to verify I was lying. This puts both me and her in such an incredibly uncomfortable and indiscreet situation over 40E of Aperol, and I am genuinely shocked that people in the business this long would behave this way. It is one thing to look out for your guest’s security, and another entirely to surveil them. As a result of this incredibly strange, high-pressure behaviour, I ended up paying them more than the cost of an extra night for nothing.

Do yourself a favour and stay at any other hostel in the area. You will receive much better value, not to mention food and drink, going out at night in Rome instead of feeling pressured to hang out in a cold dark basement.

The staff members Ryan and Yuli deserve a mention for their kind hearts and great vibes they brought to the place. It was always a joy to see them.

Edit: They just emailed to say they were watching us on security cameras and counting drinks. Drink tabs are not a security issue, and being watched without consent reaches a new level of creepy. This is in addition to the invasiveness of talking to other guests behind your back about your drink order. Once again, there is no proof beyond their word and no receipt. I have still been charged for 8 drinks and not four. If this much drama arises over an unsettled tab, imagine what would transpire if you brought a real and urgent issue to their attention. Rome is not lacking for places to stay - avoid at all costs.

I would say it is the best hostel in Rome. Friendly social and chill

This was my first ever stay at a hostel, so didn't know what to expect. Was very pleasantly surprised!
Excellent hostel on a quiet street a few minutes walk from the main train station.
Very friendly staff and clean rooms.

**Background: I studied & interned in Italy many years ago & am familiar with Rome. After several years of cancelled trips to Italy or plans changing at the last minute, I finally got to stay at the Beehive. And it exceeded my expectations!

Following Linda & Steve on social media for the last decade, it’s been amazing to watch them ride through the pandemic, with their entrepreneurial spirit blossoming, one business at a time. This time, I’m in town for my best (Italian) friends wedding and was thrilled the Beehive had an opening!

Location is superb - 5 mins from Termini station. My private double room was huge — exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The remote control AC was nice to have in the late October heat and the WiFi was super fast. The Beehive apartments were very quiet and the communal kitchen had everything we needed for groceries and enjoying a late night snack. The courtyard was super cute and relaxing to hang out in after a long day of walking in the city. And we truly appreciated how accommodating the staff of the Beehive are (Linda, Yule and Gabriella) — my partner had to join me earlier on the trip and they made check in (+ late arrival) a breeze & totally stress free.

We also loved the Beehive app with all the recommendations in the neighborhood, so we didn’t have to do much research. And the WhatsApp group provided a sense of community getting ready for the trip and during! It felt like staying in a community house with friends instead of a formal hotel - the personal touch and caring for the whole person is one of a kind.

This place was by far my BEST stay and accommodation experience for my entire 5 country, 12 day trip! I am so thankful for their kindness and welcoming atmosphere. I wish I had stayed at the Beehive in Rome longer and had been able to take advantage of the bagels and community vibe. The owners and desk person was so nice and the location is SUBLIME for Rome sightseeing. I want to go back to Rome and visit Pompeii and a few other day trips and I guarantee I'll stay here. I did a private room and it was picturesque. Quiet, clean, had private adjustable A/C. Great bathroom though teeny tiny shower but I was very impressed and felt so comfortable with it all.
