Hotel mit Zimmern und Suiten in elegantem und schickem Stil, einige mit schönem Blick auf das Viertel
Das Zelos Hotel, das in einem Gebäude aus dem Jahr 1907 untergebracht ist, wurde komplett renoviert und seine 202 Zimmer und Suiten wurden in einem eleganten, trendigen und künstlerischen Stil neu gestaltet. Ein klarer Vorteil ist, dass das Zelos in der Nähe von Museen, Geschäften und dem Union Square liegt, und einige der Zimmer haben einen wunderschönen Blick auf das Viertel, das sich in luftiger Höhe befindet. Im ersten Stock bietet das PLS on Post eine Speisekarte mit Gourmet-Burgern, frisch gepressten Milchshakes und Säften sowie gesunden Snacks. Eine Bar serviert ausgezeichnete Cocktails mit sexy Namen. Fahrräder, Fitnessraum.

Great boutique hotel located a block from Moscone West, right across from the Marriott. Clean & comfortable rooms, great service. "Dirty Habit" lounge / restaurant on the 5th floor. Good breakfast but expensive (like everything else in downtown San Francisco). Also good for happy hour drinks or a quiet dinner.

The saying, "form over function" comes to mind when reviewing the hotel Zelos. Years ago I had been to the "5th Floor" restaurant when the property was the hotel Palomar. Spectacular restaurant! So I was excited to stay at what is now called the Zelos. Unfortunately I found a hotel that is rundown and over designed and over rated.
"Modern " is the design aesthetic and its stupid and not inviting. The bed was a very low platformish affair with an awful mattress. They had foam pillows that kept your neck bent. The bathroom was very small and the in room toiletries were moss and birch that smelled like moss and birch.
I tried to call down to the front desk for the wifi information only to find a phone with no dial tone. I used my mobile to call front desk and they said someone would be right up to look at the phone. That never happened. At $350/night, I expected more.

I was given $10 vouchers to use in your restaurant. I wanted to use on our last full day (Monday/our anniversary ), but restaurant is closed Sunday & Monday…was never informed that . I had asked the front desk if there was a sister property that might honor your voucher. The guy stated he would call his manager and advise me. I never received a call.
Woke up at 4am Tuesday morning to the smoke detector “chirping.”” Had to call front desk to replace unit.
Room service didn’t fill shower gel. Had none for use on last day.
Lastly upon checkout, the front desk not once asked about “how was our stay/experience?” If that had been asked, I would have gladly shared my experience in person…instead of posting online.
I will never stay here again and I will discourage others from staying there either.
