Das Hilton New Orleans/St Charles Avenue ist ein 4-Sterne-Hotel, das nur 3 Blocks vom French Old Carré, dem historischen Viertel von New Orleans, entfernt liegt. Das renovierte Hotel aus den 1920er Jahren verfügt über Merkmale aus der damaligen Zeit und liegt nur 13 Gehminuten von der St. Louis Cathedral, der ältesten Kathedrale Nordamerikas, entfernt. The room was extremely clean, and the maid came every day to clean (including making the bed, mopping the floors and little touches like making a rosette with the facial tissue), which is a rarity nowadays as many hotels no longer offer daily cleaning.
Front desk staff (young man with short curly hair), and Chris and Delwin are both extremely great bellboys/security staff. They were quick with the key cards to open up for us, and were always willing to provide directions or help with anything. I have stayed in many Hiltons and this was the best service ever.
We felt safe knowing you had to have a key card to get in the building. The community coffee down in the lobby in the morning was also something nice to have, along with a microwave in lobby to warm up anything you may want. There is a small fridge, coffee maker, and safe in the room.
We didn't get room service from Luke's Restaurant downstairs, but it was a very popular option and it was nice to know some tasty food could be had if we had chosen.
I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
